.Well, if God gave us a head's up that the Rapture's coming, I must have missed it. Apparently He's not giving the Church a warning, so despite the Middle East clamor for peace, it's not this year..
Because so many of those reading our eNews each week forward them to friends and family, I try to not assume everyone reading has been privy to all we've discussed in the last 33 years!
Hence, some repetition in this week's eNews. A few new things, but mostly important verses regarding the Rapture and Rosh Hashanah. Enjoy. And do forward!

According to Leviticus 23, one of the holiest days of the year is Yom Teruah (means “day of blasting”). It’s also referred to as the Feasts of Trumpets.
The Feast of Trumpets is the 5th of the 7 Jewish feasts God commanded the Jews to celebrate each year.
Passover- Nisan 14-15
- Commemorates God's deliverance from Egypt
Unleavened Bread- Nisan 15-22
- Remembers leaving Egypt
First Fruits - Nisan 16-17
-Celebrates the first harvest and symbolizes resurrection
Pentecost - Sivan 6-7
- Marks the giving of the Law and the summer harvest.
Trumpets - Tishri 1
- Begins the civil new year and the 10 Days of Awe
Day of Atonement- Tishri 10
- Repentance for the sins of Israel
Tabernacles - Tishri 15-22
- Commemorates God's provision during 40 years in desert.
God’s commandment to celebrate the Feast of Trumpets each year is found in Leviticus 2
Again the LORD [Yahweh] spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘In the seventh month on the first of the month you shall have a rest, a reminder by blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. You shall not do any laborious work, but you shall present an offering by fire to the LORD.’” Lev. 23:23-25
Therefore the Feast of Trumpets is a 2-day festival of blowing trumpets….100 times over the two day feast. Then at sunset of the second day one last long trumpet blast is blown that commemorates the ending of the feast.
When Paul wrote about the last trump in his letters to the Corinthians and Thessalonians, the mostly Jewish readers would have known exactly what he was referring to:
in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; 1Cor. 15:52
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, 1Th. 4:16
Jewish scribes associate the Feast of Trumpets with the coming of the Messiah. They base that association on these Old Testament verses:
To Israel the Lord says:
Then the LORD will appear over them, and His arrow will go forth like lightning; And the Lord GOD will blow the trumpet, and will march in the storm winds of the south. Zech 9:14
To the World the Lord says:
All you inhabitants of the world and dwellers on earth, as soon as a standard is raised on the mountains, you will see it, and as soon as the trumpet is blown, you will hear it. Is 18:3
Obviously with the verse stating “the Lord will appear over them,” “lightning” and “blow the trumpet,” it mirrors the main New Testament Rapture verses in 1Cor. 15:51-52 and 1Thes. 4:16-17.
This feast day is also referred to as Rosh Hashanah. In the Hebrew, Rosh means “Head” and Hashanah means “the year.” So, “Head of the Year.”
The Israelis believe this is the day that the Lord began creating the world and all that is in it. So they celebrate this day as the beginning of the Jewish New Year.
God chose the date to be in the seventh month. The Jews also celebrate the new year on the first day of the first month, Aviv. So they have two New Year’s Eve parties each year.
The end of Rosh Hashanah marks the beginning of the “10 Days of Awe.” They are the 10 days between the end of the Feast of Trumpets and the beginning of Yom Kippur.
They call them the Days of Awe because Jewish people know Yom Kippur, the most solemn Day of Atonement, the Holiest day of the year, is only 10 days away.
Once a year on Yom Kippur the blood of the bull and the goat was brought into the Holy of Holies in the Jewish Temple by the High Priest of Israel.
The High Priest was the only one who could go into the Holy of Holies and pour the fresh sacrificial blood onto the Mercy Seat.
So on Yom Kippur the blood from an innocent animal would be shed to cleanse the entire nation’s transgressions against the 613 laws and commandments in the Old Testament.
The blood was poured by the High Priest on the Mercy Seat in the Holy of Holies which housed the 10 Commandments on two stone tablets.
Blood sacrifices were huge for the pre-crucifixion Jews.
For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement. Lev. 17:11
…all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. Heb. 9:22b
(Note that in the Old Testament it was "atonement" and in the New Testament it is "forgiveness.")
So these 10 Days of Awe was the time for Israel to be aware of what was just ahead—the nation’s atonement. It was the time to repent of any known sin as the Day of Atonement approached.
This was the time to humbly admit you were a sinner who needed atonement for your sins. God was providing atonement, and humility was what He expected:
If there is any person who will not humble himself on this same day, he shall be cut off from his people. Lev. 23:29
The Days of Awe were also a reminder of Israel's need for a Savior. When the Savior finally came, the Day of Atonement would no longer be necessary.
Therefore the Feast of Trumpets was a trigger-reminder that in 10 days God would atone for Israel’s cumulative sin.
There are other verses that mention trumpets in association with the arrival of Jesus.
For instance, we can easily see the Rapture in Exodus 20 when the Lord came down to the top of Mt. Sinai on the third day. Israelites were greeted with a very loud trumpet sound.
The LORD also said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments; and let them be ready for the third day, for on the third day the LORD will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people. Ex. 19:10-11
So it came about on the third day, when it was morning, that there were thunder and lightning flashes and a thick cloud upon the mountain and a very loud trumpet sound, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled. Ex. 19:1
The people of Israel had gathered in the desert at the bottom of Mount Sinai to meet God.
And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain. Ex. 19:17
Just as God descended on Mt. Sinai with the sound of the trumpet, Jesus will also have his angels call us with the heavenly trumpet to meet our Lord Jesus in the air.
And just like when the Holy Spirit came to the earth in Acts 2, the Holy Spirit departing at the Rapture will also be noticeably loud.
And suddenly there came from heaven a noise like a violent rushing wind, Acts 2:2a
God’s Holy Spirit came to the earth arriving in only one spot in Jerusalem. But when He leaves it will be from all over the globe. A loud worldwide whoosh sound!
The entire earth will know something just happened and that it was supernatural in origin. Millions will disappear in the twinkling of an eye and the world will have heard the noise of our departure.
So the yearly Jewish celebration of the Feast of Trumpets points to the Rapture…but sadly not too many Believers make this connection.
However, immediately after the Rapture, a lot of people WILL understand what happened. There will be people who thought they were Believers who will be dumbfounded they’re still on the earth.
Other non-Christians who pooh-poohed the Rapture will realize what just happened.
There will be rich and poor, pastors and priests, and everyday folks from around the globe who will immediately KNOW what just happened. What a sick feeling it will be.
Understanding the truth about the Rapture, an uncountable number of people from all over the world will become Tribulation Believers.
They will reject the world’s false explanation of what happened to all the disappearing people… and be willing to die for their new found faith.
After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands; … who are they? …. These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Rev. 7:9, 14b
They will hunger no longer, nor thirst anymore; nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any heat; Rev. 7:16
Imagine refusing the mark of the beast, dying in the pain of hunger and thirst or a beheading, and immediately experiencing the joy of being in the everlasting presence of Jesus. That's what an uncountable number of Tribulation Believers will experience.
Many Jews will also learn the truth about the Rapture. Jesus Himself will personally come to Jerusalem shortly after the Rapture and train 144,000 Rabbinical Jews to evangelize and teach the truth about Jesus the Messiah, Yeshua HaMashiach.
Then I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads. Rev. 14:1
Here's another thought. Imagine being a religious Jew who knows the Old Testament forward and backwards but never learned that Jesus came to the earth as the Messiah and the Jews of that day murdered Him.
Then that resurrected Jesus, the God Who created the universe, shows up, shakes your hand, personally marks your head and tells you to go out and testify that He is the Messiah!
I'll bet you he would be one wildly-motivated man! And multiply that by 144,000!(Ref.)
I took the above picture on Ben Yehuda Street in Jerusalem a few years back. These ultra-orthodox Jews were dancing big time and singing about the coming Messiah...in Hebrew.
The only word I recognized in their song was "Yeshua." And if they're dancing like that looking forward to Yeshua coming... imagine personally meeting Him!!
It’s also most interesting that Rosh Hashanah is celebrated by blowing trumpets for two days. And at the end of the two days, technically the start of the third day, they end the celebration with a special blowing of the trumpet seven times. And the 7th blowing is one very long and loud blast.
That's consistent with this Hosea prophecy.
When Paul said the Rapture will happen “at the last trumpet,” he’s referring to the last trumpet blowing at the Feast of Trumpets.
Therefore we believe the Rapture will occur on the second day of Rosh Hashanah at sunset in Jerusalem—although we don’t know what year.
If you’re new to Compass, by now you may be wondering about this verse:
But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. Matt. 24:36
In that verse, Jesus was addressing the Jews who were under the Law before the cross. We are living post-cross in a different time period.
Notice that even Jesus Himself didn’t know the date when He made that statement. But today He does know when He’s coming because He receives all knowledge after the cross in Revelation 5. So it was true when He said it to the Jews but not true today.
Or, if you’re new to Compass you might wonder about the New Testament verse about Jesus coming as “a thief in the night."
For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape. 1Th. 5:2-3
But it’s important to read the next verse!
But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief; for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober. 1Th. 5:4-6
The coming wrath of God is for the non-Believing world, and the Believers will be taken out of the earth just before His wrath is unleashed.
Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come. 1Thes. 1:10
For God has not destined us for wrath… 1Thes. 5:9a
Not to mention, if the Lord didn’t take us out of the earth before the 70th week of Daniel begins, since He lives in us He would be bringing His wrath on Himself.
We’re to be looking up for Jesus not down at the earth. And we’re to encourage one another as we see the day of Rapture getting close.
encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near. Heb. 10:25b
This year the Feast of Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah begins on Sunday September 12 and ends on September 13. We, of course, start and end our days at midnight.
But in Israel, the day ends and begins at sunset. They base this on the Creation days:
there was evening and there was morning, one day. Gen. 1:5b
And there was evening and there was morning, a second day. Gen. 1:8
Etc.
So Rosh Hashanah begins this year in Israel on Friday night at sunset, and ends two days/48 hours later at sunset.
The Feast of Trumpets ends at sunset in Israel Sunday, September 13, at 6:48 PM. Here in the United States they’ll be blowing the last trump Sunday morning at:
8:48 AM Pacific Time
9:48 AM Mountain Time
10:48 AM Central Time
11:48 AM Eastern Time
I have to say it would be hilarious if Rapture happened this year because most all the Believers would be in church. Those left behind would find all these churches with clothes all over the pews and wonder why everybody took off their clothes and left. LOL!
Obviously I could be wrong about the Rosh Hashanah connection. Or the calendar could be wrong. Or maybe the mid-trib Rapture position could be right. Naw, not a snowball’s chance in Hades on that last one!
There are other reasons to think it could be this year. We all can see what looks like the writing on the wall going on in the world. Like the obvious need for peace in the Middle East that could be solved with a 7-year treaty.
But since Russia, Iran, Turkey, et al, will invade Israel at the 6th Seal of Revelation (probably at least a year into the Tribulation) with Russia riding horses, and they don’t presently even have cavalry, it just doesn’t add up.
Regardless, if it’s this year, or seven years from now, it’s the perfect time that God has chosen. Not a day too early nor a day too late.
The biggest upside to the Lord not rescuing us this year is the people who are getting saved between now and Rapture.
The second biggest upside is being able to plant more seeds about what’s coming. The Rapture WILL happen. And we want as many people possible to know that if you do miss the Rapture you can still go to heaven.

All things considered, no doubt it SEEMS like it could be this year. However, if I take out my emotion, I have to say “not likely.” But it’s the closest we’ve come so far! We’ll know Sunday. Tune in!

We don't know when the Rapture will take place, but we speculate it could be at the last trump, at sunset in Jerusalem of the last day of Israel's Feast of Trumpets.(Ref.)
This year the sun sets in Jerusalem at 6:48 PM, which is 8:48 AM Pacific Time, 11:48 AM Eastern Time.

So in his honor, watch him do what he was warned could end his life: open debate on college campuses.
A college student walks up to Charlie, calls the Founding Fathers "elitist," and tries to lecture him on "democracy."
Charlie hands her a history lesson, explains what democracy actually means, and by the time he puts the ball back in her court, she's agreeing with him.
STUDENT: "Do you view democracy as an American value, something that's very important to the fabric of this country?"
KIRK: "No. Where is democracy in the U.S. Constitution?"
STUDENT: "Oh, okay. So are you —"
KIRK: "No, no, hold on. Where is the word democracy?"
STUDENT: "I don't think the word democracy is in the Constitution."
KIRK: "Yeah, it's not. So where is the word democracy in any of the Founding Fathers?"
STUDENT: "You know, a lot of the Founding Fathers had extremely elitist viewpoints around who should be —"
KIRK: "No, hold on. Hold on. You said the word democracy, so I want to get back to our roots."
STUDENT: "Yes."
KIRK: "Where is democracy mentioned? In the Federalist Papers, the Constitution, or the Declaration?"
STUDENT: "I think it's good that this country has moved away from things that were explicitly believed by the Founding Fathers."
KIRK: "So democracy is mentioned in the Federalist Papers, and it's mentioned negatively as a problem. So you ask me, is democracy a fundamental American value? I say no. Because I go back to our roots: Hamilton, Madison, and Jay."
STUDENT: "Oh, I know that Hamilton was anti-democracy. Like —"
KIRK: "Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. I want to be clear. I am pro-representative government. But I'm not pro-democracy. That's a big difference, and that distinction's important. But you asked very specifically about democracy, which is not an American value. It never has been and never should be. Because what is democracy? Democracy is majority rule no matter what. There are no provisions for checks and balances, no inalienable rights, no separation of powers. If the majority wants it, the majority gets it as quickly as possible."
STUDENT: "I don't advocate pure democracy. I do understand that we live in a representative — like, we live in a republic, and I understand that."
6 days before Charlie Kirk was murdered, he asked a college student to define what a woman is.
The student made the mistake of actually answering. And once the words left his mouth, it was already over.
KIRK: "What is a woman?"
STUDENT: "Um, a woman, you know it, you know it when you see it… she looks like a woman… It's the way you express yourself."
KIRK: "So basically womanhood is a costume."
STUDENT: "I'm not saying that. No."
KIRK: "No, it is. Yeah. If you're able to wear the right stuff and just assume the identity, you can appropriate womanhood. Is that correct?"
STUDENT: "No."
KIRK: "Okay. Is Caitlyn Jenner a woman?"
STUDENT: "Yes."
KIRK: "What chromosomes does Caitlyn Jenner have?"
STUDENT: "Um… I don't… I think her chromosomes don't have to do with her gender."
KIRK: "You are playing into this narrative that gender exists. We REJECT that paradigm completely... We must live in reality, not the delusions of people who want us to accommodate their fantasies."
In 2018, he asked Hasan Piker why he doesn't give away 95% of his salary and live on a commune.
Hasan got uncomfortable fast. And wait until you see how it ends.
KIRK: "Why don't you give 95% of your money away and go live on a commune?"
PIKER: "Do you really think that's how it works?"
KIRK: "Why not? Go live what you preach… I live what I practice. I am a free market capitalist. I employ people. I took a risk. I have my own startup business. Every single day, I practice what I preach… You have the freedom to go live as a socialist. Go do it, Hasan. What's stopping you?"
PIKER: "Here's why that conversation is absolutely preposterous. If I gave away the measly earnings that I had and gave away 95% of—"
KIRK: "How much do you make?"
PIKER: "That wouldn't necessarily even push the needle… I will be very honest. It's really embarrassing, especially because my boss is sitting right there. I make $60,000 a year, okay?"
That boss was Cenk Uygur (Hasan's uncle), who then started shouting at Kirk from the audience, demanding to know HIS salary.
Kirk shot out of his seat and said this:
"I live like a capitalist, okay? I live what I believe! What do I do? I give charity every single year! What's my salary? Less than his."
Over his 13-year career, Charlie debated thousands of college students across hundreds of campuses — and died doing exactly that.
His goal: to spark thought-provoking conversations, have open debate, and encourage young Americans to get politically involved and start doing something to make their country better.
You don’t have to agree with Charlie’s politics. But you’ve got to respect the hustle of a 31-year-old father and husband who built a political empire starting at just 18 years old.
He debated with class, relying on facts and data over name-calling and dunking on opponents for show.
And that’s what made him so likable, so persuasive — and therefore so dangerous. Higher things were calling him.
It’s a shame he was stolen from us one year ago today, and that we’ll never see a future with Charlie Kirk in it.
I still feel sick over his death. He was one of a kind, and there will never be another quite like him.
Rest in peace, brother. We miss you.

In a speech to French business leaders at the MEDEF’s La Rencontre des Entrepreneurs de France in Paris, the former defense minister and current European Commission President Ursula von der Leyentalked about using EU citizens’ bank deposits to get the ailing eurozone, the European economy, back on its feet.
Von der Leyen was explicit before the business leaders: Europe has savings, she said, but unfortunately those savings are sitting on the sidelines.
Ten trillion euros are sitting as cash savings in the hands of private households in bank accounts, lectures von der Leyen in the manner of a classic central planner who can no longer take her eyes off citizens’ wealth.
The European economy must now put this capital to work for its companies, the chief bureaucrat decreed.
None of this merely sounds like Erich Honecker. Von der Leyen is increasingly turning into a socialist sister in spirit to this disastrous regime.
Von der Leyen is following the path of the German chancellor. Friedrich Merz, too, discovered the cash holdings of Germans as political capital for himself more than a year ago – thoroughly socialist, indeed almost dictatorial, the chancellor also pointed to the possibilities opened up by what he called an activation of this money.
If I had money in a bank in Germany I would be nervous!

High blood levels of xylitol are associated with a higher risk of cardiovascular events than lower levels of the commonly used sugar substitute, according to an observational study.
In the study, which was presented at a European Society of Cardiology conference in late August, researchers discovered that individuals with high levels of the sweetener were linked to a higher risk of major cardiovascular problems such as heart attack, stroke, or death, compared to those with lower levels.
