There is new national survey that found half of Americans say the fun has disappeared from their lives. Financial pressures, exhausting schedules, work demands, and burnout are leaving millions feeling drained, disconnected, and unable to enjoy life the way they once did. And that it's continuing to get even harder to be happy.
Contrast that to Schlitz beer's major ad campaign from the 1960s that enthusiastically proclaimed, “You only go around once in life, so you have to grab for all the gusto you can get!”
The commercial was basically saying, "even though things were good you should strive for more!"
I was born in 1949 and as they say, those were the days. Church attendance was high, at least where I grew up in the south. Most moms were homemakers. Kids played safely all day outside.
You could ask anyone where they went to church and get a simple answer—Methodist, Baptist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, etc. Police were the good guys. Graduating from high school was like today finishing two years of college.
Divorce was incredibly rare—I don't remember anyone getting divorced when I was young. 2/3rds of families owned or were purchasing their easily affordable homes. And where I grew up, in a middle class suburban neighborhood, everyone had a nice house.
But in 1960, the first birth control pill became available. It paved the way for the late 1960s sexual revolution. By 1973 the Roe vs. Wade case made abortion legal.
Looking back, I'm amazed that our high school cheerleader skirts came down to their mid-knees. (See pic taken from my High School annual.)
In 1962 the Supreme court ruled prayer was not a right in public schools. It took awhile to get prayer out of most public southern schools.
When I was in the 7th grade, 1962, each person in a class of about 35 took a turn on Mondays to select any passage from the Bible to read to the class. And as a senior in high school, 1967, we had a short morning Bible study over the homeroom intercom, every morning!
There was no school bussing yet, so I never went to school with black students. In fact, I was probably one of the last white boys to get a basketball scholarship in Alabama. (Laughing!)
But the point is, we've gone from our nation's pinnacle in post-war '50s to scraping the bottom of the barrel by the time Biden finished his term. But, thankfully, since President Trump has been in office, there is some movement back from the mire.
Woke now seems to be dying on the vine. Business leaders who fell for the Go Woke line learned the brutal truth: Go Woke, Go Broke. Target, Jaguar, Bud Lite, Gillette, Disney, etc., all learned the hard way.
Another example ... Victoria's Secret sales and stock price are off the charts after they ditched the Woke and went back to ads with pretty smiling girls.(1)
Maybe all this is just a flash in the pan but it's certainly encouraging today.
And for Bible prophecy pundits, even with all that's going on in the world, we're smiling ear to ear because Rapture's, worse case, less than seven years away!

Choose Today Whom You’ll Serve
There’s an ad that I keep hearing on iHeart Christian Radio advertising a podcast called “I Choose Me.” Jennie Garth began the podcast in 2024 and has used the phrase to promote her conferences and a book.
Her contention seems to be: For you to be happy in life you need to put yourself first… it’s all about you.
But Garth saying you should choose yourself to serve obviously flies in the face of what the Bible wants us to be seeking. The Bible says we’re to seek/choose God above self. She should be saying she chooses God over her self. What God wants, not what she wants.
Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. Col. 3:2
If she wants true happiness she must seek God, not her sinful self.
Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart. Psa. 37:4
The Bible even ties “self” to the last days and it’s the FIRST THING at the top of a long list of disgusting characteristics of the last days.
But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be
lovers of self,
lovers of money,
boastful,
arrogant,
revilers,
disobedient to parents,
ungrateful,
unholy,
unloving,
irreconcilable,
malicious gossips,
without self-control,
brutal,
haters of good,
treacherous,
reckless,
conceited,
lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; 2Tim.3:1-5
“Self” tops that interesting list written some 2000 years ago... about today.
Jesus didn’t mince words rebuking Satan when He was tempted in the wilderness. He said it’s all about God, not man.
Then Jesus said to him, “Go, Satan! For it is written, ‘YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND SERVE HIM ONLY.’” Matt. 4:10
In 1390 BC Joshua warned the Jews about the importance of choosing wisely:
Choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Josh 24:15b
We know where all this stems from. It was Satan who was the first to fail the God-first test when he chose himself over God.
In Isaiah’s cleverly hidden description of Satan’s desires, six times he pointed to himself as being his ultimate life-goal.
you [Satan] said in your heart,
‘I will ascend to heaven;
I will raise my throne above the stars of God,
And I will sit on the mount of assembly
(I will sit) In the recesses of the north.
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High.’ Isaiah 14:13-14
Notice that Satan concludes his “it’s about me” rant by flat-out admitting he desires to be like the Most High. He was unwilling to serve God and instead chose to serve himself, making himself his own God, which is the ultimate eternal mistake.
And since we’re born with a sin nature, we too want to make our own decisions based on what we think is best. We too want to be our own god.
Playing to our sinful self-centeredness and ignoring Biblical warnings, Self Magazine came out in 1979 appealing to women’s insecurities.
After steering women away from the Lord for 47 years, the publication was quietly shelved in April of this year. Good riddance. I hope Cosmopolitan meets the same fate.
God designed us with an eternal desire to know Him. We have a place for the Lord but, due to our sin nature, we’re born without Him. We’re born with an empty place that can only be filled by God Himself.(2)
We have to be born again to go to heaven, no exceptions.
Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:3-5 (3)
But even when we’re born again, we’re still stuck with our sin nature until we get to the next life.
Therefore, because of our sin nature, no matter how hard we try, we find ourselves constantly missing the mark. It gets frustrating at times, but I feel better knowing Paul had the same problem:
For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. Rom. 7:18-20
So God has to take priority over all. Paul David Tripp’s devotional book New Morning Mercies(1) explains the sinful lure dilemma this way:
If you seek satisfaction, satisfaction will escape your grasp. But if you seek God, rest in His presence and grace, and put your heart in His most capable hands, He will satisfy your heart as nothing else can do.
You were made for Him. Your heart was designed to be controlled by the worship of Him. Your inner security is meant to come from rest in Him.
Your sense of well-being is intended to come from a reliance on His wisdom, power and love.
The reality is this… God is the peace that you are looking for. He is the satisfaction that your heart seeks.
He is the rest that you crave, the joy that you long for and the comfort your heart desires.
All those things that you and I say we need we don’t really need. All those things that we think will bring us contentment and joy will fail to deliver.
What we need in life is Him, and by grace, He is with us, in us, and for us. Our hearts can rest because, by grace, we have been given everything we could ever need in Him.
Many years ago at a dinner party, Susie and I met a couple who were Christian counselors. I asked them what was the main problem they had to deal with in their counseling sessions.
They immediately said it was getting the counseled person to understand the need for a “Christ-based identity.”
That really resonated with us because we understood if a person is seeking to live in a world of scriptural principles, they’re on the right track.
So every Believer's goal is to bring:
every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, 2Cor. 10:5
And since we’re living in the last of the last days, we could/should easily add: bringing every thought captive to the obedience of Christ with an eternity-based focus.
This is because our happiness is not based on where we are, but where we’re going.

Chapters 13 and 14 in The List was the first thing Buck Storm wrote in the novel and I just about came out of my shoes when I read it. From then on I knew we would have an awesome book.

This reminded me of literature I’ve read over the years about clandestine intelligence agencies using thallium compounds.
Thallium disrupts cellular energy production and affects nerves, leading to a “dying-back” polyneuropathy. It has been used in isolated poisonings (via food/drink) and is difficult to detect without specific testing.
I’ve also researched stories of other poisonous agents such as the following.
It seems to me that Christine’s symptoms—as she described them in her farewell post—are most consistent with thallium poisoning. I wonder if a proper toxicology screening was performed for this kind of compound.
So what you have is a French scientist proving the Covid va((ine was a known killer that was foisted onto the world for mass murder. Then someone slipped poison into her food that was so devastatingly painful that she ultimately killed herself.

Google’s parent company, Alphabet, is seeking federal approval to release up to 32 million mosquitoes across California and Florida over a two-year period.
The proposal comes through Alphabet’s mosquito-control company, Debug Project, which focuses on reducing populations of disease-carrying insects without using pesticides.
The plan calls for releasing male mosquitoes infected with Wolbachia, a naturally occurring bacterium found in many insect species.
When these males mate with wild female mosquitoes, the eggs fail to develop properly, preventing new mosquitoes from reaching adulthood. Because only female mosquitoes bite humans, the released males would not directly increase mosquito activity around neighborhoods.
For some reason I just don't trust them. I'm glad I don't live in California or Florida.

information when reading prophecy. From Tucker Carlson to the Catholic Church, one must adhere to proper exegesis lest you find yourself wandering in the weeds.
One example that came to mind as I read the article was the picture above of the four horsemen of Revelation 6. Scripture says of the first horseman:
I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer. Rev. 6:2
Do you see what the artist added to the picture's description? The person conquering had a bow but no arrows are mentioned. Yet in the picture, there is an arrow.
I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; Rev. 22:18
Compass has an article about the missing arrows titled "A Bow Without Arrows." It shows the lack of arrows has potential tie to toxic va((ines. The inference is that after the Rapture, the New World Leader is conquering with drugs/va((ines.
Unless you take scripture literally, you would miss that. Or, if you add anything, even casually, to God's Word, it could alter the meaning.

According to Fox News Digital's analysis, the network behind the Delaney Hall protests includes about 100 groups, some of them big names like the ACLU, Indivisible and Democratic Socialists of America.
Together, these organizations report collective annual revenues of about $825 million, approximately equal to the annual budget of Newark.
Their tactics mirror the system deployed in Minneapolis earlier this year to protest ICE actions, and military experts say the operations resemble the tactics of an insurgency.
"We should be very concerned about the Delaney Hall 100," said Chuck Flint, a nonprofit expert and former U.S. Senate chief of staff. "Protests like the kind we're seeing outside Delaney Hall are not organic protests.
These are manufactured strategic, calculated endeavors by an army of nonprofits meant to push subversive activity. These groups generate annual revenues greater than many of the cities in which they protest. They act like military battalions with the ability to overwhelm a city's public safety resources."
Far-left groups self-identify as socialist, Marxist and communist, blend in with immigrant groups. They included Democratic Socialists of America, the U.S. Revolutionary Communist Party, Speak Out Socialist, Refuse Fascism, Freedom Road Socialists Organization, Freedom Socialist Party and the Black Panthers.
This is obviously Satan at work trying to tear down the USA. One day people will look at Satan and remark:
“Those who see you will gaze at you, they will ponder over you, saying, ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms, who made the world like a wilderness and overthrew its cities," Is. 14:16-17

The reality is, nicotine has nothing to do with cancer. Nicotine is in eggplant. Have you ever heard of anyone having an eggplant addiction? Nicotine is also in potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers and cauliflower.
What we've learned, in a nutshell, is that the cigarette companies added drugs to the cigarettes that made them addicting. They then blamed the addiction on the nicotine. This was to perpetuate and hook people on buying cigarettes.
As the cigarette industry began to diminish because of lung cancer, they used their profits to purchase snack food companies. They reasoned they could add their addictive drugs to the snacks, which they did.

In July of 2020, at the height of COVID lockdowns and global panic, Klaus Schwab released a book called COVID-19: The Great Reset.
At the time, many dismissed concerns about the “Great Reset” as “conspiracy theory.”

There is published scientific evidence showing that COVID-19 vaccination is linked to cancer, but that evidence has largely been suppressed and attacked, according to doctors and scientists who testified recently before the U.S. Senate.
The hearing shone a spotlight on how scientific findings on COVID-19 mRNA vaccines and cancer have been suppressed and how scientists’ reputations were maligned when they spoke out about what they saw and what they know.

The Trump administration says a coast-to-coast border wall could be completed within a year, backed by new technology.
The Trump administration has set a new deadline for one of its most publicized immigration priorities.
During a House Homeland Security Committee hearing, DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said the administration expects to complete a primary border wall stretching from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of America by this time next year.
According to Mullin, contracts for the remaining construction projects are expected to be awarded by the end of June. The administration is using funding approved through recent border security legislation to accelerate construction and close remaining gaps along the southern border.
But the wall being discussed today is not the same project that dominated headlines during Trump’s first term.
Mullin told lawmakers that cartels have adapted to existing barriers, learning how to cut through sections of fencing or exploit vulnerable areas. As a result, DHS is planning additional layers of infrastructure beyond the primary wall.
Those additions include secondary barriers in certain locations and a ‘smart wall’ system that uses sensors, surveillance technology, and drones to monitor activity near the border. Mullin said the secondary barrier could be completed by the summer of 2028.

The Babylon Bee Reports:
The Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), one of the organizations that helped fund COVID-19 vaccine development, today announced it will invest more than $60 million to accelerate development of experimental Ebola vaccines built on platforms similar to those used for the COVID-19 vaccines.
The funding comes as a rapidly growing outbreak of the Bundibugyo strain of the Ebola virus spreads in the Democratic Republic of Congo and neighboring Uganda.
According to reports cited by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the outbreak in Congo has caused 282 confirmed cases and 42 deaths, along with 220 suspected cases. Uganda has confirmed nine cases, including one death.
CEPI said it will commit up to $50 million to support the development and testing of Moderna’s experimental Ebola Bundibugyo vaccine. Moderna’s Ebola vaccine is built on the same mRNA platform used for Spikevax, the company’s COVID-19 vaccine, BioSpace reported.
There are currently no approved vaccines or treatments for the Bundibugyo strain of Ebola.
During an analysis of the CEPI announcement, medical commentator John Campbell, Ph.D., examined the Oxford-Serum Institute vaccine, which uses a modified version of the chimpanzee common cold virus, or adenovirus — the same basic platform used in the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.
“Similar technology was used in the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, which caused so many side effects and severe adverse reactions,” Campbell said.
Campbell explained that the vaccine uses a genetically modified virus to deliver genetic instructions into human cells (i.e. change your DNA).
“It’s a bit like the RNA platform,” Campbell said. “But instead of using RNA lipid nanoparticles, this uses a virus to do it.”
Rather than injecting a viral protein directly, the vaccine prompts the body’s cells to produce an Ebola glycoprotein — a protein found on the surface of the Ebola virus that the immune system can recognize and target.
“So it’s hijacking or utilizing the cell’s own genetic apparatus. It’s not a traditional vaccine. The cell then produces its own antigen,” Campbell said.
He said the approach is “very similar” to COVID-19 vaccines because “both cause human cells to manufacture a viral antigen by giving … modified genetic information inside a virus that carries it into the cell.”
“This caused quite a few side effects, if you remember,” he said. “And we also know that it caused quite a few people to leave us permanently. But this is what is being used at the moment.”

Trials are monitored for extraordinarily short follow-up periods. The clinical studies for the hepatitis B vaccine—given to every newborn in the United States—tracked side effects for only four to five days post-vaccination. But most of the chronic conditions associated with vaccines—autoimmune disorders, neurological injuries, developmental changes—take weeks, months, or years to become apparent.
Placebo-controlled trials—the gold standard of medical proof—are declared “unethical” for vaccines because they would deny children a “life-saving” intervention. So large retrospective studies comparing vaccinated and unvaccinated children become the best available evidence.
But when those studies show harm, they’re dismissed as “non-controlled.” Demands go up for the controlled trials that were just declared unethical.
The trap closes. Evidence of harm can never satisfy the evidentiary standard, because the evidentiary standard requires the study design that’s been banned.
The Institute of Medicine—cited for decades as the definitive authority on vaccine safety—published major reports in 1994 and 2012. What those reports actually said was that insufficient evidence existed to definitively support or disprove a link between vaccines and serious injury, and that this research should be urgently conducted.
But it never was.
In the initial Gardasil trials covering over 21,000 subjects, the death rate in the vaccine group was 8.5 per 10,000. The “placebo” group’s death rate was 7.2 per 10,000.
The expected background death rate for girls and young women of the same age: 4.37 per 10,000.
Both the vaccine group and the control group were dying at nearly double the baseline. The FDA’s determination: no concern, because the rates matched each other.
But they matched each other on purpose. Young women and girls died by design.
A system designed to detect safety signals failed to notice that both groups were dying at an anomalous rate. Because matching an also-anomalous control means the trial, by design, cannot see its own signal.
The CDC itself maintained a large population dataset—one that could have ethically compared vaccinated and unvaccinated children at scale. It’s the exact dataset safety advocates had been requesting for years.
But when Secretary Kennedy prepared to access it, the CDC deleted it.

There’s a financial reason the federal government cannot afford to find vaccines harmful.
The government pays out vaccine injury claims directly. If even one in five autism cases were linked to vaccines, estimated liability would reach approximately $1.3 trillion. The entire federal budget in 2017 was $3.3 trillion.
That’s not an abstraction. That number easily explains why the research doesn’t get done. Why the databases get deleted. Why the IOM committee was told what its conclusion needed to be before the members sat down.

One study, for example, linked Ozempic to effects on muscle strength, even though muscle size remains stable.
In animal models, this was associated with increased frailty risk and reduced physical performance — findings researchers note urgently need confirmation in human clinical trials.
A recent animal study published in Cell Metabolism investigated how Ozempic changes body tissues beyond just fat loss.
Conducted by researchers from the University of Utah Health, the study found that although changes in muscle mass appear trivial, the same cannot be said for muscle strength.
According to a press release from the University, this points out "an urgent need for clinical studies to pin down the full effects of the popular medications."
• The research used mice as the study population and produced surprising results — They found that the lean mass of the test subjects dropped by about 10% overall. However, most of that decrease came not from skeletal muscle but from organs like the liver, which shrank nearly in half.
• This means that your organs are also reshaping during weight changes — The researchers said that some organ shrinkage is considered normal during healthy weight loss. However, the exact effects on humans are still unclear.
• Skeletal muscles also shrank slightly — The researchers noted a 6% reduction in these muscles, although this wasn't enough to explain the total lean mass loss. Some muscles even stayed the same size. The researchers explained that this could reflect a "return to baseline," because when you gain fat, your body also tends to build more muscle just to move the extra weight around. As fat goes away, that supportive muscle drops as well.
• A significant finding was the mismatch between muscle size and muscle strength — When the scientists tested how much force the mice's muscles could produce, they found some muscles got weaker even though their size looked unchanged. In others, strength remained unchanged.
• These effects raise particular concerns for older adults — People over 60 years old are already at a higher risk for muscle weakness and mobility issues, so if the drug-related strength declines observed in mice translate to humans, it could increase falls and reduce independence. As senior author Katsu Funai, Ph.D., emphasized, "the loss of physical function is a strong predictor of not just quality of life but longevity."
