Next week we're taking off. According to my doctor, because of my age and heart condition (I'm fine!), I'm supposed to take off 1 to 2 weeks every quarter. Hey, I've already cut back to working only half-days! (6AM-6PM)
Trying to disengage is hard with all that's going on in the world and the Rapture probably happening in the next few years...and maybe the next few months! I've been waiting on this for 49 years! 🤪
But, I know the Lord has already set my date for my exciting transition!
And in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them. Psa. 139:16b
I can't change what He's already determined to happen! And Jesus adds:
“And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life’s span?" Luke 12:25
In the Civil War, the very successful Southern General Stonewall Jackson would expose himself to enemy fire by riding his horse just behind the front lines of battles and cheering on his men. When asked why he took such risks Jackson referred to the above verses by saying:
"The Bible says I am as safe in battle as in bed. God has fixed the time of my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me.” He added: “That is the way all men should live, and then all would be equally brave.”
The enemy never killed General Jackson. He did die in the Civil War, but it was "friendly fire" from his own troops that unintentionally killed him.
Having said that, and believing both predestination and free will (because both are taught in scripture) there IS a balance to never put the Lord to a foolish test (Deut. 6:16; Matt. 4:7).

To commemorate the USA's 250th birthday, this week's article is about the War of 1812 and how we got our national anthem. If you've not read about this, you should find it interesting!

An important fact in our American history is how we got the National Anthem. This is the story.
In the War of 1812, America was again fighting her mother country, Great Britain. Britain had lost the American War of Independence in 1783, but now 29 years later, she was determined to take America back as a British possession.
In Europe, Napoleon had just been defeated and all the seasoned British troops were sent en masse to the United States in order to take back the land and its rich tax base.
The initial battles were fought in the north, in and around the 
Canadian border. But in August 1814, the British invaded Washington, D.C., burning and looting the White House, the Capitol, the Treasury, War Department and Navy Yard. Ouch!
President James Madison and the entire U.S. government had to flee the city and eventually ended up hiding in Brookeville, Maryland.
American troops were demoralized and were easily defeated in successive battles around the Washington area. The British spent several days looting tons of merchandise from city merchants.
In the countryside, farms were looted for food and other provisions. Those who resisted were arrested and taken as prisoners of war.
It was a dark and pivotal moment for the new Republic. With our capital in Washington destroyed, our government leaders on the run and our troops in disarray, the British turned their sights to Baltimore for a knock-out blow. The British believed victory was at hand.
On Sept. 12, 1814, 5,000 British troops headed by land from Washington to Baltimore, only 35 miles away. They met 3,000 American troops about five miles outside Baltimore.
The Americans initially engaged the British in battle, but then retreated as a stalling tactic to allow time for more American troops to arrive.
At the same time, a large flotilla from the British Royal Navy was sailing through the Chesapeake Bay to attack Baltimore from the sea. It included five (of eight) massive siege artillery ships Britain had in its navy and used to pulverize cities from the sea.
So the only thing between the British Navy vessels and Baltimore was Fort McHenry. If Fort McHenry was destroyed, Baltimore would be a sitting duck and the British could sail into unprotected Baltimore and win the war.
During this time, a young lawyer was commissioned to make contact 
with the British about a prisoner exchange. One of the prisoners of war, Dr. William Beanes, was a prominent physician. He was arrested at his farm outside Washington, D.C. for resisting the British.
The lawyer was able to negotiate the release for all the prisoners except Beanes.
Eventually it was established that Beanes was a civilian non-combatant and could be released once the British had conquered Baltimore. So the lawyer and Beanes were sequestered on a ship about eight miles from Fort McHenry.
From the ship, using a telescope, the lawyer could see the massive British fleet sailing up Chesapeake Bay toward the tiny fort with the United States flag boldly flying over the fort’s ramparts. But the prospects of 
repelling such an onslaught were grim, to say the least.
It appeared the fledgling nation was about to be conquered less than 40 years after its breakaway from Great Britain.
The British fleet arrived, and as twilight began to fall, there was a haze over the water, typical of sunsets in Baltimore.
The British Admiral in charge of the fleet, Admiral Cochrane, maneuvered his ships into position and began to relentlessly shell the small fort with the large American flag, unleashing his cannons on the helpless occupants.
The lawyer recounted later that the explosive sounds from the British cannons were so deafening that you couldn’t even hear to talk.
There was almost no pause from the massive cannon fire as the ships moved one after another into position to fire everything they had at the fort. The sky was pitch black but was lit up by the yellow and red bursting bombs.
Every time a bomb would explode near the flag, the lawyer could see the flag was still there. He knew the thing that sets Americans apart from all other people in the world is that they would rather die standing up before living on their knees.
Brave Americans died that night, refusing to surrender. When sunrise came, there was a heavy mist over the water and the fort in the 
distance, and as the morning light enveloped the area, even though the flag pole itself was leaning heavily to the side, the lawyer could see the shredded American flag still flying proudly.
In the end, the British concluded the fort could not be breached. Therefore, moving ships past it to attack Baltimore was impossible.
Our American ground troops, inspired by those giving up their lives from the onslaught of the British cannons at Fort McHenry, won a decisive victory and Baltimore was saved.
The British were also dealing with the fact that the American citizens were heavily armed and therefore unmanageable.
Since the British troops wore bright red uniforms and tended to walk in a straight line, they made easy targets for a well-armed nation who had enough sense to shoot from behind trees and rocks.
This was the turning point in the War of 1812. America has never since been at risk of being conquered by an invasive enemy army.
The lawyer was so moved by those brave men that he wrote a poem titled “Defence of Fort McHenry.”
The first verse of his poem reads:
“O say can you see, by the dawn’s early light.
What so proudly we hail’d at the twilight’s last gleaming.
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight.
O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming.
And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
gave proof through the night, that our flag was still there.
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave,
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?”
The lawyer in this story was, of course, Francis Scott Key. And his poem eventually became the words for our national anthem. And do notice that the last line in the first verse ends with a question mark (“?”) !
And what revisionist history writers don’t want you to know is the last verse to that original poem because it mentions God’s protection of America. It was His power that divinely preserved this nation and that God is Who we trust, not ourselves. Fascinatingly it reads:
“Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war’s desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav’n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!”
And do notice that the last verse ends with an exclamation mark (“!”) instead of a question mark (“?”) like the first verse. The last line of the last verse answered the previous question—yes, it's the home of the brave!
As it’s often been said, freedom is not free. Throughout the history of this country, we have paid the price for freedom with the blood of our countrymen. Roughly two million men and women have died in all wars since 1776!
So, praise the Lord that we’ve had the incredible blessings afforded only by the blood of those who fought and died for this country.
It is also interesting to note that the number of those in the U.S. who supported the United States over those who supported Great Britain in the War for Independence (1776-1784) were much less than 50%.
Estimates range from a low of 15% to a high of 40%! It’s no wonder the new Constitution made provisions to protect minorities! We were founded as a Republic, not a Democracy!
So don’t take lightly praying for this nation. Satan hates the United 
States. He hates Christians, Bible teaching churches, Biblical prayers, evangelism, mission work, Christian marriages ... basically anything good. He is total evil and he’s doing all he can to mitigate true Believer influence in the world.
And never forget that we’re not up against people.
It’s not the Muslims we’re fighting against. It’s not liberals. It’s not flesh, period. They’re all just duped by the master duper who’s had 6000 years of practice.
“Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.” Eph. 6:11-13
And you can see Satan’s hatred more and more as Americans and Christians are being openly murdered worldwide. Even here in the United States we see Believers’ rights continue to erode.
But regardless of what the Lord allows to happen in this country, never
forget that we as Believers have already won the battle through Jesus’ blood.
If you're a Born Again Believer, no one can take away your salvation provided by Jesus' crucifixion.
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom. 8:38-39
Do notice that as created beings, we can't do anything to separate ourselves from God. Zero. When you're Born Again, you can't be un-born. Our salvation is not based on what we do or don't do, but rather on what Jesus did.
So we live our lives as sinners knowing our most important asset is our Biblical armor.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psa. 119:105
We can live best with God's light lighting our way. Certainly better than stumbling around in the dark!
As we’ve said often, the only thing that truly matters in this life is who goes to heaven and who goes to hell. So our prayer should be, “Use us, Lord!” We want to be used by the Lord to plant seeds of salvation that will come to fruition before—or after—our exhilarating exit.

In the aftermath of the bombardment, Key probably was in no mood to act otherwise. During World War II, when the British were our staunchest allies, this third stanza was not sung.)

An interesting reread for most....
The Declaration of Independence is a historic document adopted on July 4, 1776 by the Second Continental Congress, announcing the Thirteen Colonies' separation from Great Britain.
The engrossed (handwritten on parchment) version was signed on August 2, 1776, by 56 delegates at Independence Hall in Philadelphia.
It was primarily authored by Thomas Jefferson and outlines the colonies' grievances against King George III, asserting their right to self-governance. Below are the original words and misspellings.
The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America,
When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,

This is a fascinating article about the deep state by Alex Newman. Especially in light of the recent decision by the Supreme Court that Trump can fire any and all those deep-staters entrenched all over the government.
We know at the end of the Tribulation the Kings of the East, a multitude of nations from the "east" that numbers 200 million, come against the antichrist's armies. Most prophecy pundits assume this humongous number will include China.
“Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” And the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released, so that they would kill a third of mankind. Genna Betros, 27, was scrolling through Instagram four years ago when she came across Unjected, a dating app for people who chose not to receive the Covid-19 vaccine. Betros had made the same decision. She was wary of how quickly the vaccine was developed, she says, and distrusting of its government support.
She grew up in a vegetarian, politically independent household in New Jersey. A headache would be treated with peppermint oil before Advil.
Her view of the American medical system boils down to, as she puts it, “You can’t trust the doctor anymore.” She believes that some doctors are beholden to the pharmaceutical industry.
She had profiles on Hinge and Bumble, but Unjected attracted someone she described as highly questioning who wanted to “stay strong for their family and not submit to whatever the TV says,” she explains.
On Unjected, she matched with Corey Deemer. Betros took two weeks to message Deemer back. When she did, she realized they were only an hour-long drive apart. They met at a bar between Philadelphia and her home in New Jersey.
Deemer had a few drinks before Betros arrived. He recalled worrying she might not be real. “But she showed up, and she lit up the room. We sat there and talked, played every board game there,” says Deemer, a 28-year-old apprentice electrical lineman. Like Betros, Deemer was concerned by the “aggressive” push for Americans to receive Covid vaccines.

Dementia and depression affect hundreds of millions of people worldwide. Yet one of the strongest predictors of who gets these diseases, and who doesn't, costs nothing, requires no prescription, and is already within your control.
It comes down to how efficiently your heart, lungs, and muscles work together to deliver oxygen, what researchers call cardiorespiratory fitness.
Depression frequently overlaps with that decline, bringing fatigue, low motivation, disrupted sleep, and social withdrawal. Psychotic disorders, though less common, share many of the same underlying drivers tied to brain energy, circulation, and inflammation.
Adults with higher cardiorespiratory fitness had significantly lower risks of dementia, depression, and psychotic disorders, showing that your long-term brain health is strongly tied to how efficiently your body uses oxygen during movement.
Researchers found that even small improvements in exercise capacity reduced dementia and depression risk, meaning your brain responds to gradual fitness gains long before major physical changes become obvious.
Stronger aerobic fitness improved blood flow, stress regulation, mitochondrial energy production, and neuroplasticity, which helps your brain maintain memory, emotional stability, and cognitive resilience as you age.
A long-term study that followed adults for more than 26 years found that participants with the highest endurance capacity had a 53% lower dementia risk compared to the least fit group.
Consistent aerobic exercise combined with proper recovery, adequate carbohydrates, and daily movement habits helps strengthen cardiorespiratory fitness without triggering the excessive stress and burnout that come from overtraining.

Jeff Childers on the government report that exposes the truth behind the "Separation of Church And State" argument:
We have arrived at an astonishing moment in time. Amidst swelling youth attendance, record Bible sales, favorable SCOTUS decisions, and a steady stream of unlikely influencer conversions, Christians have now just witnessed the publication of an enthusiastic book-length government report calling for the fundamental, structural dismantling of the legal architecture that has suppressed public faith for eighty years.

Hmmm... well, we have God telling us in the Book of Ecclesiastes that history repeats itself.
That which has been is that which will be, and that which has been done is that which will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun. Eccl. 1:9
So using the account of Joseph in Egypt as a historical model, 7 years of plenty before seven years of famine, we could be looking at 7 years of "a golden age" before 7 years of "horror."
That would also solidify the United States as the rich and prosperous latter-day nation who is making people rich around the world by selling wares to the United States.

So if we're still here in November (allowing for calendar variations), it could be the beginning of 7 years of a plentiful golden age.
So it's a win with the Rapture or a win with a golden age. A true win/win!

We've heard "We must keep church and state separate" for so long most think it is part of the Constitution. But what it really means has been incredibly distorted.
So President Trump had a study commissioned to determine the original meaning and what they found is not what had been promoted by secular media.

On Friday, June 26 —a date we should probably write down somewhere— the Department of Justice issued a book-length, 224-page draft report blandly titled, “Religious Liberty Commission.” The subtitle simply stated, “Americans’ First Freedom.”
Read the 12-page executive summary and skim the table of contents even if you lack time for the whole thing. You’ll thank me.
"Far too often in our national life,” the report’s summary explained, “religion is treated not as a protected and valued contribution to public life, but as a problem or annoyance to be managed, restricted, or sidelined.” This, it explained, is bad. It suggested the solution is proactivity rather than reactivity, cultural cultivation rather than compliant complaisance.
“Safeguarding religious liberty requires more than defending legal rights after they have been violated,” it said. “It requires cultivating a culture that understands why those rights exist in the first place.” It was nothing less than a declaration of war on liberals’ established secular worldview.
One of the report’s most unequivocal recommendations was for the DOJ to aggressively tear down the wall separating church and state. WaPo explained that the report advised DOJ to “issue guidance to promote ‘an originalist understanding’ of how the Constitution sees the relationship between religion and government.”
At an Oval Office news conference about the report, Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick repeated the report’s recommendation that any official —in government, schools, military, hospitals, etc.— who alleges a citizen violated church-state separation must in writing “point out exactly where you have violated the Constitution, because you have not, and from this day forward, that phrase should have no power over people of all faiths ever again in America.”
