There’s a lot of garbage floating around regarding Iran, Russia, Israel, etc., both on the web and even from pulpits. Sigh.
Poor theology being promoted has caused a lot of confusion as we watch the recent USA/Israel pummeling of Iran. Sadly, most people just seem to be misunderstanding basic Bible prophecy.
So here are a few unchangeable truths that should help anyone figure out what’s going on using an accurate prophetic view.
For all those who are new to Compass, this is a brief prophecy foundation recap:
As a ministry, we defend the Bible as scientifically and literally accurate from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22.
For example, we defend the Bible’s accuracy of the earth currently being 6000 years old and that a global flood covered the earth completely around 4500 years ago, using science and Biblical truths.
Most of the Jewish scribes and sages teach that human history will last 7,000 years. They base this on comparing the creation week model of six, 24-hour days of creation and one 24-hour day of rest, to this verse where the Lord compares one day to 1,000 years.
For a thousand years in Your sight are like yesterday when it passes by... Psa. 90:4
As Church Age Believers, we too believe the creation week is God's model for 7,000 years of human history. After that, God destroys the earth and creates a new heaven and earth. Check out this verse:
But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. 2Pet. 3:8
It's easy to see:
During the first four 24-hour days of creation there was no life created. Then there were two days of life created before resting for the last 24-hour day.
And, using that Creation Week as a template, sure enough, after 4,000 years Jesus came and brought life via the Holy Spirit and the Church Age.
Jesus will reign for the last 1,000 years which lines up with the day of rest in the creation week.
Have you ever wondered why Peter said 2000 years ago (Acts 2:17) that they were now living in the “Last Days?” He was speaking to the Jews who understood he was referring to the last three days of the 7-day creation timeline outline.
The Bible also points to the Creation Week timeline in Hosea 6.
“Come, let us return to the LORD. For He has torn us, but He will heal us; He has wounded us, but He will bandage us. He will revive us after two days; He will raise us up on the third day, that we may live before Him." Hos. 6:1-2
That is a picture of the Jews being scattered for two days/2,000 years and then being brought back to their homeland.
Looking back at the 7-day chart, you can easily see the time between Adam and Jesus was 4,000 years as confirmed by the Biblical genealogies listed in the Bible.
And we know Jesus reigns for the last 1,000 years, which lines up with the 7th day of rest in the creation week. That leaves 2,000 years for the Church Age during which the Jews were scattered around the earth—wounded and bandaged.
The Rapture, the 7 years of Tribulation, the 2nd Coming and the 1,000-year earthly reign of Jesus must take place before the Lord destroys the earth and creates His new heaven and earth.
For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; Is. 65:17a
So rest easy, the end of the world is at least 1007 years from now.
Where Does The Tribulation Fit?
The big question is, where do we put the 7-year Tribulation? We know it’s not part of Jesus’ 1000-year Millennial Reign, as it says 6 times in 6 straight verses (Rev. 20:2-7) that it will last exactly 1000 years. No more, no less.
So with 4,000 years up to the cross, 1,000 years at the end, and all those verses that point to the Church Age being 2,000 years long, it confirms mankind will have 7,000 years of human history.
This is why we have taught for over 30 years that the Rapture would take place by 2033.(1) 
Actually, it leaves us with three choices of where to insert the Tribulation into our timeline.
Choice #1
The 7-year Tribulation (that begins with the Rapture/Peace Treaty) begins in 2033 and is inserted between the Church Age and the Millennial Reign of Christ— 
Choice #2
The Tribulation is subtracted from the 2000 year Church Age, which would look like this:
This choice also keeps the 4000, 2000, 1000 timeline intact by not adding 7 more years.
Choice #3
We could be wrong about the year of the death of Jesus. Instead of His death in 33 AD, it could be He died in 30 AD, 31 AD or 32 AD.
Most Bible scholars who don’t go with 33 AD date of Jesus' crucifixion, go with 30 AD. And if they’re correct, Rapture would happen in 2030, 2031 or 2032 because it’s too much time has passed to subtract the 7-year Tribulation.
But we believe Jesus’ death fits like a glove for 33 AD! The biggest reason we hang our hat on this date are the calculations Dallas Seminary did showing that Jesus came over the Mount of Olives on the foal of a donkey on the exact day prophesied. 
While always leaving open the possibility of the Rapture happening at any moment, we have repeatedly pointed to 2033 as the end of the Church Age, with the 7-year Tribulation following. But we don’t know for sure.
Hey, Russia is already ticked at the USA for the Ukraine war and for blowing up their undersea Nord Stream gas pipeline to Europe.
Russia also hates Israel and they're backing Iran in the current Israel war.
President Trump has cut the oil from Venezuela and Iran from going to China. So China is not a happy camper.
If the Iranian war stretches out til the last trumpet blowing on Rosh Hashanah, on Sunday, September 13th at sunset in Jerusalem, who knows what could happen.
Just spit-balling here: (as Jeff Childers is fond of saying)
One way it could happen is the peace that President Trump is trying to put in place doesn't come together because it's too fragile, has no accountability, and all those countries can't agree to his terms.
If the Rapture happens Sunday, September 13th, world chaos ensues. Then the terms look more appealing.
With God's restraining Holy Spirit removed, and USA decimated from the Rapture, Russia and China could take out the USA with hundreds of nukes targeting all the major cities, Not to mention likely taking out the entire electrical grid. America would be done.
Israel, with no ally, sees her only hope is to take out her surrounding enemies with her nukes as quickly as possible.
“In that day I will make the clans of Judah like a firepot among pieces of wood and a flaming torch among sheaves, so they will consume on the right hand and on the left all the surrounding peoples, while the inhabitants of Jerusalem again dwell on their own sites in Jerusalem." Zech. 12:6
The Arabs would be screaming bloody murder for someone to make Israel stop the carnage, Europe would be in a mess, and the whole world would be in chaos.
And then along comes a new world leader out of the blue who has seemingly all the answers to solve the world's problems.
This new-on-the-scene man promises Israel peace and security if Israel will stop wiping out the Muslims. He promises food for the rest of the starving world, if they go with his program. And this peace deal is guaranteed for 7 years.
Who knows. It could happen. Probably not exactly like that example, but it shows what's possible.
2030 Benchmark
And there’s another interesting reason 2026 might be the year the Church Age winds up with the great and loud disappearance of all Believers on earth.
Halfway through the 7-year Tribulation is the mid-Tribulation "separator" between the New World Leader (NWL) and the Antichrist.
The Tribulation begins with a human NWL in the first half and ends with Satan as the antichrist in the second half.
First thing, Satan is cast from heaven:
And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. Rev. 12:9
This takes place at the mid-point of the Tribulation.
in the middle of the week [middle of the 7-year Tribulation] he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; Dan. 9:27b (3)
At this mid-point, the NWL dies (Rev. 13:3) and Satan, being an angelic spirit, is cast from heaven (Rev. 12:9). He needs a body so he indwells the dead NWL and appears to bring him back to life for the last 3 1/2 years of the Tribulation.
The NWL, back alive with one eye and a withered right arm, is really just Satan.
“Woe to the worthless shepherd who leaves the flock! A sword will be on his arm and on his right eye! His arm will be totally withered and his right eye will be blind.” Zech. 11:17
So he, now in this damaged resurrected body, goes to the Jewish Temple and stands in the Holy of Holies—claiming to be the Messiah.
This event is described as the “abomination of desolation” (Matt 24/Dan 7). From then on he's officially the “false-christ” or “Antichrist."
“Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet (Dan. 11:31), standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),” Matt. 24:15
When Jesus returns for His Second Coming He will bind the Antichrist/Satan for 1000 years (Rev. 20 1-3).
Now the most interesting thing about that 2030 mid-Trib chart is the fact that IF (BIG “IF”) the 7-year Tribulation is subtracted from the Church Age, the middle of the 7 years lands on the year 2030. Hmmm…
2030 is the year the Globalists/Satanists have been pointing to for a long time!(4) What a coincidence!
Satan, a no-slouch Bible scholar who had the audacity to argue scripture with Jesus (Matt. 4:1-11), may very will know the date of Rapture(1) as well as when he’ll be cast from heaven / thrown to earth.
2030, only 3 1/2 years from now, is also the year that Elon Musk and others have said they expect brain implants to be perfected to be able to tie a human’s thoughts to the web…no wires, no computer, nothing…the computer just reads your thoughts.(2)
This would be just in time for the Mark of the Beast that comes to fruition in the last half of the Tribulation.
Iran
What so many seem to miss is that the Ezekiel 38/39 Russia/Iran, et al., invasion of Israel does not take place until a year or two into the 7-year Tribulation—at the time of a massive worldwide earthquake.
In My zeal and in My blazing wrath I declare that on that day there will surely be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. The fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all the creeping things that creep on the earth, and all the men who are on the face of the earth will shake at My presence; the mountains also will be thrown down, the steep pathways will collapse and every wall will fall to the ground. Ezek. 38:19-20
There are two devastating worldwide earthquakes during the Tribulation. The 1st is at the time of the 6th Seal, roughly 2 years into the Tribulation.
The 2nd worldwide earthquake is at the end of the Tribulation during the 7th Bowl of destruction and happens at Jesus' 2nd Coming when Jesus' feet touch the Mount of Olives. (Zech. 14:4)
Therefore the Ezekiel 38/39 earthquake is the first Tribulation earthquake.
I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood; and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind. The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. Rev. 6:12-14
So the Iran conflict today has zero to do with the Ezekiel 38/39 invasion of Israel because it won't take place until one to two years after the Rapture.
However, today’s thrashing by the USA may be setting up the Ezekiel 38/39 invasion. We know right after the Rapture the USA is completely destroyed in one hour.(5)
With the USA out of the picture, a few years would give Iran time to rebuild its military, nukes, whatever, and join Russia, Turkey, et al, in the invasion of Israel.
All of the above is just fun speculation, but it does make Rosh Hashanah this September VERY, VERY interesting.
And if we're here in November, Trump will probably continue to set the USA on an amazing course of prosperity and peace.
In fact, the NY Times is already comparing the collapse of Iran to the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991!
So if we're still here, our assumption will be that we'll be in a time of "7 years of plenty" before "7 years of horror." Does that sound familiar?
All in God's timing. What a privilege to watch all this come about that was prophesied 2000 to 3000 years ago!

1) Jesus said TO HIS DISCIPLES in a different dispensation, different time period, that THEY would not know the day or the hour He would return.
But Paul, just as inspired as Jesus, says Jesus was coming as a “thief in the night” for the non-Believers because they were in the dark.

A declassified CIA document suggests a potential cure for cancer may have been hidden from the public for more than 60 years.
The discovery is fueling a disturbing question: If this research showed promise in the early 1950s, why did it remain locked away in intelligence archives for six decades?
The document, written in February 1951 and later declassified in 2014, summarizes a Soviet scientific paper examining striking biochemical similarities between parasitic worms and cancerous tumors.
Researchers reported that both thrived under similar metabolic conditions, surviving in low-oxygen environments and storing large reserves of glycogen.
The report also described experiments showing certain anti-parasitic compounds appeared to affect tumors. One drug, Myracyl D, already used to treat bilharzia parasites, reportedly showed activity against malignant growths as well.
The findings didn’t claim cancer is caused by parasites. But they raised a provocative possibility: Drugs developed to kill parasites might also disrupt tumor growth.
Today, some physicians are revisiting that idea.
Dr. William Makis, who treats cancer patients with repurposed medications such as ivermectin and related compounds, says he has worked with thousands of patients using these experimental treatment protocols.
Makis believes the potential of these drugs has been underestimated for years.
“Cancer is no longer a death sentence.”
So why did research like this sit in the shadows for so long?

WASHINGTON—The U.S. economy grew faster than many predicted over the past year, outpacing other advanced economies, especially in Europe, where growth has nearly stalled.
Analysts say President Donald Trump’s pro-growth policies, combined with a surge in investment in artificial intelligence, have further strengthened the country’s economic momentum.
The United States is “at the doorstep of a new industrial revolution,” said Stoyan Panayotov, a financial adviser and founder of Babylon Wealth Management.
He said the country’s strong capital base, skilled workforce, and shareholder-friendly environment make it more attractive to investors than other markets.
Recently, S&P 500 companies have reported earnings that beat market expectations. More than 70 percent of companies recorded positive earnings surprises in the fourth quarter of 2025, according to FactSet data.
On Feb. 6, the Dow Jones Industrial Average surpassed 50,000 for the first time—after the S&P hit 7,000 on Jan. 28.
During his State of the Union address on Feb. 24, Trump credited these milestones to his economic policies, particularly tariffs.
In a Truth Social post on Feb. 6, the president also made a bold prediction: “I am predicting 100,000 on the Dow by the end of my term. Remember, Trump was right about everything!”
Strong corporate earnings, technological innovation, and a positive economic outlook all have contributed to the U.S. stock market’s appeal.

Suicide pods now have a “double dutch” option, where couples can die together in Switzerland. These 3D-printed death pods are designed for two people to climb inside, press a single button at the same time, and pass away within minutes.
Suicide pods were created by Philip Nitschke, often nicknamed “Dr. Death,” and were first introduced in 2024 for single-person use.
The individual must meet with a psychiatrist for a mental capacity assessment to determine whether he or she is considered “fit” to proceed.
With the push of a button, the chamber fills with nitrogen, causing the person to lose consciousness within seconds, followed shortly by death. What is being marketed as innovation is, in reality, a modernized gas chamber.
Now that same concept has been redesigned to end not one life, but two at once.
This is eye-opening testimony to Congress. 50% of kids today have a chronic illness. 75% of adults have a chronic illness. And we're spending more per person for health care—over 15K per year, per person. 2nd place goes to Switzerland—9K per person, per year.
The video explains Big pHARMa has captured the industry. Their first order of business is to make a profit, not to get people well.
In 2023, Professor Mark Skidmore hired a reputable polling firm (Dynata), which surveyed 2,840 respondents and found 15% of those vaccinated had a vaccine injury, 13% of whom categorized it as severe (along with 22% of respondents saying they knew someone with a severe vaccine injury).
Since you just can’t say that publicly, his paper was retracted, and he was subject to an ethics investigation that eventually cleared him.
Note: Skidmore’s paper emphasized an important point for all of these polls:
"Since those severely injured by VX were much less likely to be able to respond to a poll, the polling was likely underestimated."
Called a rising Dim star, James Talarico shreds the Bible to pieces—says it's outdated.
He quotes from the "Book of Thomas" to prove abortion is ok for Christians.
Of course there is no Book of Thomas in the 70 books of the Bible (Psalms is composed of 5 books). And I guess he also ignores the part about "Thou Shall Not Murder" since abortion stops a beating heart!
He says you can choose your identity, even though God says you're either male or female.
And guess what...he's the Dims candidate for Senator from Texas. I would normally think he has no chance in Texas, but weirder things have happened!
A team of Swedish scientists recently published something disturbing...
As you'll discover during EMF Hazards: Safeguard Our Future, they documented eight case studies of people living near newly-installed 5G towers. (EMF - electromotive force)

Alex Newman shows that 8 million children are sexually abused in some way by teachers or staff, revealing a far larger epidemic than previously recognized.

The U.S. must address the “massive epidemic of vaccine injury,” according to scientists, doctors, lawyers and medical freedom activists who convened recently in Washington, D.C.
“I want people to understand that vaccine injuries are common and they’re all around, and vaccine injuries dwarf the benefits of vaccines,” said MAHA Institute President Mark Gorton.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has commissioned more than 100 studies on vaccine injury, Gorton said. “The dam that has held back the massive vaccine injury is breaking.”
Already, the Henry Ford study, discussed in the film “An Inconvenient Study,” found vaccinated children were far more likely to develop chronic disease than unvaccinated kids, Gorton said.
The Ford study involved over 18,000 children enrolled in Henry Ford Health system’s insurance plan in Michigan.
The results showed vaccinated children had 4.29 times the rate of asthma, 3.03 times the rate of atopic disease (a group of allergic conditions), 5.96 times the rate of autoimmune disease, and 5.53 times the rate of neurodevelopmental disorder.
