In the past we’ve examined Exodus 19 that paints a perfect picture parallel of the Church Age and the Millennial Reign of Jesus.
…Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments; and let them be ready for the third day, for on the third day the LORD will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people. Ex. 19:10 -11
We live in the 2000-year time period of the Church Age where Believers are cleansed by what Jesus did on the cross. We’re ready for the third day, the literal 1000-year reign of Christ—when Jesus comes down and rules in sight of all the people.
But we can also see the Rapture buried in this same Old Testament passage:
When the ram’s horn sounds a long blast, they shall come up to the mountain. Ex. 19:13
So it came about on the third day, when it was morning, that there were thunder and lightning flashes and a thick cloud upon the mountain and a very loud trumpet sound, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled. Ex. 19:16
When the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke and God answered him with thunder. Ex. 19:19
According to the NASB notes, the word thunder means “to call aloud; a voice or sound.” So God didn't answer with "thunder," rather, He answered with a voice—but not His voice.
So this is a picture of the Jews sounding the shofar/ram’s horn and then God answering them with angelic trumpets from the sky. The trumpets are therefore associated with Moses crying out to the Lord and the Lord answering him.
Today on the Feast of Rosh Hashanah (which the Jews celebrate as the anniversary of creation) the Jews cry out to the Lord via these trumpets for their Messiah to come as King of the Earth.
They have faith, based on Old Testament prophecies, that God will eventually answer them. And He will, despite the fact He already sent His Messiah and they murdered Him. Which of course is why God scattered them around the world for some 2000 years.
During their exile from Israel, despite being dispersed around the world, the Jews continued to celebrate the seven annual feasts required by God in His scriptures.
Rosh Hashanah is one of the seven mandatory feasts when the Jews blow the ram’s horn 100 times over the two-day feast celebration.
At the end of the two-day celebration is the final last blowing of the shofar—one long, continuous blast at sunset.
This is remarkable because it appears the two-day Rosh Hashanah celebration is a picture of the two-day/2000-year Church Age.
Using 2Pet. 3:8 that states a day is like 1000 years, at the end of the two-day celebration the trumpet is blown. Sound familiar?
So let’s look again at this prophecy about the Rapture:
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up (Raptured) together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. 1Thes. 4:16-17
This New Testament passage basically uses the same wording as Exodus 19, and the parallels are obvious. Paul, being highly educated in the Jewish scriptures, knew this when he penned his letter to the church in Thessalonica. He purposefully tied Rosh Hashanah to the Rapture.
Based on all this, I think the Lord will return for the Rapture/rescue at the last trumpet blowing which happens at sunset on Rosh Hashanah in Israel…whichever year our booming exit takes place. I may be wrong, but you have to admit it fits like a glove.
FYI—The last trumpet blowing for Rosh Hashanah this year is on Friday, October 4th at 6:19 PM in Jerusalem, 8:19 AM Pacific Time here in the United States.

I feel sorry for anyone trying to understand what's going on in the world today without having the Bible as a guide!
We are living at a time when 2000-year-old prophecies are falling into place. Believers living today have a GREAT chance of avoiding physical death and instead being instantly transported to heaven. Sort of like "Beam me up, Scotty" in the Star Trek series.
But as things get close to that amazing moment, it may very well get uncomfortable for Believers. If we try to live first for the Lord we're promised persecution (2Tim. 3:12) but not God's wrath (1Thess. 5:9).
Thankfully we know Who is really in control, and we know all things work together for us Believers in the long run.
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Rom. 8:28
So we can trust the Bible over all else. We don't seek man's answers via drugs. We try to do nothing to compromise our God-designed immune system.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

The killing, persecution and displacement of Christians in Nigeria is "unrelenting" and "a time bomb," according to a major new report.
Christians "are deliberately targeted," as well as "Christian communities, their livelihood(s), faith leaders and places of worship", according to the report by Open Doors International, a faith-based non-profit working to raise awareness of global persecution, aiming to mobilize prayer, support and action among Christians. Christians are reportedly becoming "an endangered species" there, the report says.
"Last year alone, in Nigeria there were more people that were killed because of their Christian faith than all other places in the globe combined," Ryan Brown, the CEO Of Open Doors U.S., told Fox News Digital, adding "to be specific, there were 4998 Christians that were killed because of their faith in Nigeria last year."
In testimonies recorded for the Open Doors International report, titled "No Road Home," attacks on Christians are said to have been carried out by Islamist terror groups Boko Haram and the Islamic State of West Africa Province, and predominantly Muslim Fulani militants, who originally were herdsmen.
"When the Fulani gunmen came to attack, they could be heard shouting ‘Allahu Akbar' (Allah is the greatest), we will destroy all Christians,'" one interviewee claimed in the report. Another added, "The Fulani started to shoot, burning houses. They burnt our animals and maize plants."
