All Scripture is inspired by God … 2Tim. 3:16a
The above verse is one of the best verses to use for proving 100% of the Bible is accurate and without error as originally penned in the Hebrew and/or Greek.
“Inspired by God” in the Greek literally means “God-breathed.”
It’s a word used only once in the New Testament and is made up of theos, “God,” and the verb pneo, “breathe.”
Another great “The Bible is inspired by God” proof-text verse is:
But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. 2Pet. 1:20-21
Therefore, God inspired everything we read in scripture— it's trustworthy as originally penned in Hebrew (OT), Greek (NT) and some verses in Aramaic (Daniel and NT).
Even the least of the Hebrew letters or pieces of letters were inspired in the original languages of Hebrew and Greek..
not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Matt. 5:18b
You could read the above verse in English to mean that even the dot above an “i” is inspired by God.
God’s Word is amazing in millions of ways, most of which we’ll probably spend an eternity learning in heaven.
But here on earth with our limited human understanding, even scratching the surface is fascinating. In the past we’ve looked at God’s use of numbers and colors in scripture(2) that help us discover deep Bible truths buried in unsuspected places.
And when we study Biblical prophecies it gets even more amazing what we can uncover. One example is this verse dealing with Moses on Mt. Sinai:
The LORD also said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments; and let them be ready for the third day, for on the third day the LORD will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people." Ex. 19:10-11
Under close examination, buried in that verse is a prophetic utterance covering 3000 years.
Translation:
(Based on applying 2Pet. 3:8 —“1 day is like 1000 years”)(3)
> consecrate them (cleanse/wash)
> today and tomorrow (2000 years)(3)
> wash their garments (wash away their sins via the cross)
> be ready for the third day (1000-year reign of Christ)
> on the third day the Lord will come down in sight of all the people (He will reign as King of the Earth from Jerusalem).
Another similar application:
Come, let us return to the LORD. For He has torn us, but He will heal us; He has wounded us, but He will bandage us. He will revive us after two days; He will raise us up on the third day, that we may live before Him. Hos. 6:1
Can you see what God hid in that verse? It prophesies that Israel will be scattered for 2000 years, torn and wounded. But after the 2000 years God will raise Israel back up and the Jews will physically live before Him.
That’s an important verse to know with all the Israel naysayers out there today.
One of the best at illuminating deep truths buried in the Bible was Chuck Missler. Most people who have heard him speak remember something interesting they learned the first time they heard Chuck speak.
I’ll never forget one of Chuck’s articles from 30 years ago about the names God inspired in the genealogy in Genesis 5(1), what they meant and what was hidden behind the words.
This thought-provoking insight is amazing:
The first name in the Bible, Adam, means “man.”
Adam’s son was named Seth, which means “appointed.”
Seth’s son was called Enosh, which means “mortal,” “frail,” or “miserable.”
Enosh’s son was named Kenan, which can mean “sorrow,” “dirge,” or “elegy.”
Kenan’s son was Mahalalel, which means “blessed,” and El at the end is the name for God, i.e. “the Blessed God.”
Mahalalel’s son was named Jared, meaning “shall come down.”
Jared’s son was named Enoch, which means “teaching.”
Enoch was the father of Methuselah, which means “His death shall bring.”
Methuselah’s son was named Lamech, which means “despairing.”
Lamech’s son was Noah, which means “comfort.”
And when you read the meanings of the names in order in a sentence it reveals a knock-your-socks-off hidden message.
“Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow, (but) the Blessed God shall come down teaching (that) His death shall bring (the) despairing rest.”
Wow! God’s plan of redemption is hidden in the first ten fathers in the Bible! But to find it takes a little digging.
The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our sons forever, that we may observe all the words of this law. Deut. 29:29

I feel sorry for anyone trying to understand what's going on in the world today without having the Bible as a guide!
But we know Who is really in control, and we know all things work together for us Believers in the long run.
But should we trust the Bible over all else? Should we use man's drugs or our God-designed immune system when we have a choice? Do those controlling the media have our best interest at heart?
