We’re beginning to get questions about why we look at specific dates for the Rapture when the Bible says:
“But of that day and hour no one knows…” Matt. 24:36a
Those that have followed Compass through the years know the answer.
First of all, that’s only the first half of the verse, the second half says:
…not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. Matt. 24:36b
So if you try to apply that verse to Believers today it means Jesus also has no clue when He’s coming.
But the Bible says He now knows when He’s coming. Post-cross, in Rev. 5 we see Him qualifying to receive all knowledge from the Father.
Therefore, when Jesus uttered those words in Matthew 26, it was, of course, true. But it’s not true today.
Since many don't understand dispensational divisions in scripture, every few years it becomes necessary to bring our more recent subscribers up to date on why the cross (specifically Acts 2) is a major dividing line between the Old and New Testaments, not Matthew 1. (See chart above.)
The Church Age began with the arrival of God’s Holy Spirit on earth Who permanently resides in Born Again Believers.
The Church Age ends with the departure of the Holy Spirit. Those Born Again Believers, those who are indwelled with God’s Spirit, are also whisked away… because of three reasons:
1) Since God's Holy Spirit indwells Believers forever, when He departs, we must leave with Him.
the truth which abides in us and will be with us forever: 2John 2
2) Jesus had to leave earth before the Holy Spirit could come.
if I do not go away, the Helper [Holy Spirit] will not come to you; John 16:7b
Therefore the reverse is also true. The Holy Spirit must depart so that Jesus can return for His Second Coming.
Jesus also visits the earth during the Tribulation, which is another reason the Holy Spirit must depart the earth prior to the 7 years of horror.
Then I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, Rev. 14:1
3) This one’s a no-brainer… Believers must depart because God’s wrath is unleashed on the earth in the Tribulation. If Believers were here indwelled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus would be bringing His wrath on Himself.
When the Lamb broke the seventh seal… Rev. 8:1
So when the Holy Spirit departs earth, all Born Again Believers leave with Him. From that point onward, when a person gets saved, God’s Spirit does not permanently indwell them.
Those who become Believers in the Tribulation are saved by faith, just as those who were saved by faith before the Church Age. The Holy Spirit didn't permanently indwell them either.
Believers today are living in a VERY special time period because God, who spoke the universe into existence, comes to live permanently IN us.
Again, that didn’t happen before the Church Age, and won’t happen after the Church Age. 
Understanding that fact, Dispensational theology is a framework for interpreting the Bible. It divides history into seven distinct periods of time called “dispensations."
Understanding the importance and application of Dispensational theology was a game-changer for Susie and me personally trying to understand the Bible. Until we began viewing the Bible dispensationally I simply could not accurately understand many Biblical doctrines…especially Bible prophecy.
God, of course, doesn’t change. But He does interact differently with humanity at different times in history. Those different “time periods” are called “dispensations.”
There are seven time periods/dispensations of varying lengths that we can clearly see in the Bible. (You can email staff@compass.org with your postal mailing address and we'll mail you, free, two of the above bookmarks.)
1) Adam and Eve originally lived in a perfectly created and sinless utopia.
2) When Adam sinned, things were different.
3) When the flood was over, things were different.
4) After the Tower of Babel was over, things were different.
5) After Jesus was crucified, things were different.
6) After the Rapture, things will be different.
7) After the Second Coming of Jesus, things will be different.
Dispensational theology emphasizes a literal interpretation of scripture.
We believe every word of the Bible, from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22, was inspired by God in the original languages.
for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. 2Pet. 1:21
So if the Bible says six times in six straight verses (Rev. 20:2-7) that Jesus will reign for 1000 years as King of the Earth from Jerusalem, it doesn’t mean He’ll reign “a long time.” It means He’ll reign 1000 years—no more, no less.
Dispensationalism mandatorily separates the relationship between God and Israel pre-cross and God and the Church post-cross. And then Israel again is God's focus post-Rapture.
Since past dispensations, by definition, don’t overlap, there is no possibility for the abominable “mid-" or "post-Tribulation” Rapture to happen.
But what is most overlooked is that viewing the Bible through dispensations clears up a lot of seeming contradictions in the Bible.
Consider this verse…
For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions. Matt. 6:14
If you read this statement from Jesus and try to apply it to Believers today, it point-blank says if you don’t forgive you lose your salvation. If you forget to forgive, it’s hello, Hades. Even if you didn’t know you needed to forgive someone!
But thankfully, this verse was not written to you and me living in the Church Age. It was written to those living in a different time period, a different dispensation.
It was true when Jesus said it to the Jews before the cross, but not true today for Believers living in the Church Age after the cross. We have a different set of commands from the Epistles regarding forgiveness.
Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. Eph. 4:32
Notice that verse uses God’s forgiveness in the past tense—“has forgiven” us. We, as Believers, are truly forgiven forever. The “if you do” or “if you do not” forgive does not apply to those of us living in the Church Age.
Are we to still forgive? Of course… Church Age Believers are instructed to forgive as much as we have been forgiven by God.
Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. Eph. 4:32
I don’t know about you, but I’ve been forgiven A LOT!!!
Therefore, when someone wrongs me, I'm to forgive them like Jesus forgave me—totally, 100%, never to be brought up again in the future.
Another example:
“For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” Matt. 18:20
That verse obviously makes no sense unless you view it in its proper dispensational context. If I'm by myself in the woods, Jesus still is living in me.
Another example:
whoever divorces his wife, except for immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery. Matt. 19:9
Again, this was true when it was spoken by Jesus to the Jews under the Law. Jesus said a man could divorce his wife if she committed adultery.
But what are our instructions as Believers living in the Church Age?
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, Eph. 5:25
Christ would never divorce the Church for any reason. So men in the Church Age should never divorce their wives for any reason, including adultery.
What changed? God’s Holy Spirit did not permanently indwell Believers in the Age of Israel. It only fell temporarily on certain people, like God’s prophets.
But in the Church Age, the power of God’s Holy Spirit lives permanently in Believers. Men living in the Church Age have power that men didn’t have access to prior to the cross.
Church Age Believers have the capacity for true agape love and forgiveness.
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Phil. 4:13

Here's a Bible prophecy dispensation example:
“But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!” Matt. 24:19
This verse was written to the Jews in the Israel Age. And it’s referring to a time period that comes after the Church Age in the 7-year Tribulation. But again, it's written to the Jews under the law before the cross, not to Believers in the Church Age post-cross.
How do we know? Because this verse is referring to the Tribulation when God’s wrath is coming down on earth. Believers are removed prior to the Wrath of God.
For God has not destined us for wrath, 1Thes. 5:9
Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come. 1Thes.1:10
And, of course, we always hear this: "I’ll take Jesus’ words over Paul’s words." That’s a very shallow statement. Our Church Age instructions from Paul the Apostle are just as inspired by God as Jesus’ words are. No more, no less.
Progressive revelation IS in the Bible. There is a lot that was hidden before the cross.
the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Col. 1:26-27
So the answer to the question "What book closes the O.T.?" It's the Book of John. The events recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John took place under the dispensation of Israel. The Church Age began in Chapter 2 of the Book of Acts.

Heavy metals are in your toothpaste — In a summary of Lead Safe Mama's (LSM) report, 90% of samples had lead, 65% had arsenic, 47% had mercury, and 35% had cadmium.
• The movement started many years ago — According to a report from The Guardian, Tamara Rubin's (Lead Safe Mama's founder) campaign against heavy metals in toothpaste began 12 years ago. While working with children who had been exposed to heavy metals, Rubin noticed that their families had a common toothpaste brand, which contained lead.
• Toothpaste will put your health at risk — The highest limits of the samples have been found to violate the state of Washington's highest set limits, but not federal limits. Still, the federal government acknowledges the dangers of lead, saying that no level of exposure is safe.
• Manufacturers are not willing to change — Despite the shocking exposé by LSM, toothpaste manufacturers are turning a blind eye. In fact, many have attacked Rubin, according to The Guardian:
"So far, none of the companies Lead Safe Mama checked have said they will work to get lead out of their product, Rubin said. Several sent her cease-and-desist letters, which she said she ignored, but also posted on her blog.
Some companies have defended themselves, often claiming that lead is found in trace levels throughout the environment and is impossible to avoid. Others have said the levels Rubin found are not concerning."
• The root of exposure — According to Rubin's research, many ingredients used in mass-produced toothpaste are the source of heavy metal exposure:
"Rubin said the contamination seems to lie in some ingredients added to toothpaste, including hydroxyapatite, calcium carbonate and bentonite clay. Hydroxyapatite is extracted from cow bone and added because it allegedly helps teeth absorb calcium, though Rubin said she doubts it does. Calcium carbonate is added to help remove stains from teeth. Bentonite clay is a cleaning agent," The Guardian reported.
"Those with the highest levels all had bentonite clay. Meanwhile, Rubin's testing of hydroxyapatite and calcium carbonate as individual ingredients showed concerning levels of lead and other metals, suggesting those are the source."
• Few toothpastes are safe to use — Rubin noted that so far, LSM has found only six toothpastes that have nondetectable levels for lead, mercury, arsenic, and cadmium.

For years, scientists who questioned mRNA safety were told to put up or shut up (“publish or perish”). Well— now they’ve published. And I’ll give you one guess whether or not the conclusions support our long-standing concerns. Today, a new peer-reviewed study published in the International Journal of Innovative Research in Medical Science, blandly titled “View of Association Between COVID-19 Vaccination and Neuropsychiatric Conditions.”
The results, however, were not bland.
In the just-published peer-reviewed study, researchers analyzed over three decades of vaccine injury reports in the U.S. government’s own VAERS database, comparing covid mRNA vaccines to both flu shots and all other vaccines (combined). Using the CDC’s and FDA’s own method for detecting safety problems —called “Proportional Reporting Ratios” or PRRs— they found that reports of serious neuropsychiatric issues like brain fog, psychosis, dementia, and even suicidal behavior were not just higher, but dozens to hundreds of times more frequent after the covid shots.
If you thought people were crazy to take the jab, you might have been onto something.
The safety signal thresholds weren’t just crossed; they were blown out of the water, with some categories showing PRRs over four hundred, far above the FDA’s red-flag threshold of two. The study concluded these signals were sufficiently alarming to warrant immediate attention and further investigation— an understatement as big as the Statue of Liberty.
Among the most alarming findings, the study flagged massive spikes in reports of serious brain-related problems after covid vaccination. Compared to flu shots, reports of brain fog were up over 100-fold, psychosis nearly 80 times higher, and Alzheimer’s-type dementia more than 40 times more frequent.
Even more chilling, reports related to suicidal thoughts or behaviors, including suicide attempts and self-harm, showed increases as high as 80-fold. One rare but deadly condition —cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, a type of brain clot— was reported at rates over 400 times higher than with flu vaccines.
These numbers weren’t small deviations— they were sky-high red flags by the FDA’s own data and safety standards.
💉 Critics will likely dismiss the study by pointing out that VAERS is a passive reporting system, meaning it contains unverified data that anyone can submit. That’s partly true—but irrelevant to this analysis. The researchers didn’t claim causation; they followed the FDA’s and CDC’s own protocol for detecting safety signals, using the exact same statistical method those agencies rely on to flag potential problems.
The results weren’t borderline— they were off-the-charts, across multiple categories, with p-values so small they defy random chance. If VAERS isn’t reliable enough to show a 400x spike in brain blood clots, then it’s not reliable enough to show anything— and that would be an indictment of public health surveillance, not the authors. They can’t have it both ways.
The staggering signal ratios found in this study are almost certainly undercounts, not exaggerations. If even a fraction of those cases represent real harm, we’re looking at a public health catastrophe playing out in increasingly fast motion.
Predictably, other critics will attack the study not by engaging the data, but by going after the authors themselves— a classic case of the genetic fallacy, where a claim is dismissed based on who made it rather than whether it’s true. Several authors are well-known covid policy critics, like familiar heroes Dr. Peter McCullough, Dr. James Thorp, and Dr. Steven Hatfill.
When critics start attacking résumés instead of rebutting the math, it usually means they’ve got nothing else.
The fact that this astonishing study —authored by high-profile dissidents, using politically radioactive data, and drawing devastating conclusions— still passed peer review and was published in a legitimate journal marks a significant crack in the Overton window.
For years, any suggestion that covid vaccines could cause widespread neurological or psychiatric harm was treated as fringe conspiracy theory. But now, that same claim sits inside the pages of a peer-reviewed medical journal, backed by basic math, verifiable government data, and unremarkable regulatory methodology.
This doesn’t just crack the narrative— it blows a hole in the prison wall. If the system still held total control over scientific discourse, this paper would never have seen daylight.
But it did. And that means the narrative guardians —the journals, peer-reviewers, and editors— are either losing their grip or starting to hedge, perhaps because suppressing credible dissent has become riskier than letting it through.
This study is more than a dead canary in the coal mine. It signals a critical turning point: what was once unspeakable is now printable, citable, and, if the trend continues, increasingly undeniable.

A new abortion business in Chicago is brazenly advertising its willingness to abort preborn babies up to 34 weeks into pregnancy, making it the only late-term abortion facility in the Midwest and one of the few in the nation.
Just a thought:
The medical community declares you dead if your heart stops beating. Abortions after 21 days stops a beating heart. Think about that.
So whether a baby is killed at 4 weeks, 3 months or just before birth at 9 months should be a moot point.
