We have previously identified the United States in scripture as Babylon, or the daughter of Babylon…showing some 20 plus Bible verses that the USA is the only country on the planet that can fulfill all the characteristics of this end-time nation.(1)
Now we look to see what happens to our country immediately after the Rapture. It's not good... the carnage described is quite sobering. I can’t really imagine this happening to the USA, but it will.
The liberals in this nation for years have done everything they can to rid this nation of God. There’s an old adage that says, “Be careful what you ask for.”
The liberals should heed that adage. They say they want God out of the country. They don’t know it but the Bible says they will get their wish.
And when it happens, they won’t like it. Here is some of what will happen to the United States in the (near?) future.
Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues; Rev. 18:4
Revelation 18 covers a lot of this. It's comforting to see the Rapture taking place first, before God's wrath comes on the earth.
“Come out” in the Greek means “escape.” The Bible assures us that we're not destined to receive God’s wrath(2). And God sees to it that we’ll escape before His wrath begins. Yea!
Paul talked about those who will not “escape,”
While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape. 1Th. 5:3
There are two possibilities for when "Peace and safety" and the "labor pains" occur—before or after the Rapture?
Some Bible scholars, like Andy Woods, believe this happens after the Rapture. In the context of the above verse, he believes “they” is referring to those left behind.
Then Russia, Iran and others will invade Israel. That's followed by a Middle-East peace solution orchestrated by a bright and authoritative new world leader.
The world (“they”) will rejoice believing all their troubles have been solved. With those pesky Believers having been taken away for reprogramming and world peace instituted by a new dynamic leader promising all is well, people around the world will proclaim “Peace and safety!” Then the horrible destruction begins with the Seals of Revelation 6.
Others, like Ed Hindson, believe "Peace and safety" and "labor pains" will happen before the Rapture.
They believe that the world will be at peace and then the labor pains of destruction begin. "They" would be referring to the world in general.
This theory would mean we would currently be in a labor pain but that it will end and give us a few months or years until the next, and greater, labor pain begins.
Regardless, when the Rapture happens, those left behind will be dumbfounded. In less than 60 minutes, the world as they know it will come to a screeching halt.
Reading this is hard. All of us have friends and family who will be shocked beyond belief.
... For in one hour your judgment has come. ... Rev 18:10 
... she who was clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls; for in one hour such great wealth has been laid waste!’... Rev. 18:17
her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. Pay her back even as she has paid, and give back to her double according to her deeds; in the cup which she has mixed, mix twice as much for her.
To the degree that she glorified herself and lived sensuously, to the same degree give her torment and mourning; for she says in her heart, ‘I SIT as A QUEEN AND I AM NOT A WIDOW, and will never see mourning.’
For this reason in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong. Rev. 18:5-8
Ouch! This will affect 100% of the people—the rich and poor, the small and great, every race and every color who are living in the USA. The liberals will have gotten their wish, God is gone and climate change is happening.
Probably an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) attack would be used(3) rather than a nuclear attack. But regardless of the method, it happens SUDDENLY. Life suddenly changes, forever. 
This great country with all the wealth, resources, culture and Christians will cease to exist. Money, gold and silver will mean nothing to those left behind. (James 5:1-5)
According to Revelation 6:5-6, economic ruin will rule. Food will be a premium. Opera, movies, retail...the entire economy will grind down to nothing.
And the sound of harpists and musicians and flute-players and trumpeters will not be heard in you any longer; and no craftsman of any craft will be found in you any longer; and the sound of a mill will not be heard in you any longer; and the light of a lamp will not shine in you any longer; Rev. 18:22-23a
And after the Rapture, the Restrainer of evil, God's Holy Spirit, is no longer present on earth. Unrestrained evil will take over.
And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. (at the Rapture) 2Th. 2:6-7
We won't be here because as Believers we have God's Holy Spirit permanently living in us. We're promised He'll never leave us (Heb. 13:5, Rom. 8:38,39). So when He leaves at the Rapture, we leave with Him and will be forever with the Lord! (John 14:16)
This is just so hard to imagine what's coming for this nation, but it WILL happen. Sure hope a few remember those Millions Missing? booklets!
Knowing what’s ahead for those left behind after our exciting exit should be great motivation for us to be bold in our witness during whatever time we have left. Use us, Lord!
