The recent news headlines about Iran's dock explosion(1) are prophetically rich in numerous ways! 2600 years ago the Bible prophesied that Iran (Persia changed its name to Iran in 1932) would be one of the major nations involved in the Ezek. 38/39 post-Rapture invasion of Israel.
So we’re watching world events play out in the run-up to that invasion.
It’s highly unlikely the massive port explosion was an accident. Now Iran’s in a pickle because she can’t admit that her nation’s security is so bad that her enemies could do this to her.
Nor can Iran admit it was an accidental munitions explosion because she then would be admitting that her incompetence caused the blast. That would play right into the US's contention that she's incapable of safely handling nuclear weapons.
Just like the Nord Stream pipeline exploding between Russia and Germany, everyone knows this is likely something that only the USA and/or Israel could pull off. And Iran being temporarily crippled fits perfectly with her slowing down her military armament in the short run.
Iran undoubtedly knows the USA/Israel did it. So she is getting more ticked off at “The Great Satan” as she calls America. And of course, Israel is the “Little Satan,” which she also loathes.
But in the long run, we know Russia, Iran, and Turkey, joined by several smaller nations (Ezek. 38/39), will join military forces for a massive invasion of Israel at a time when Israel is living securely/at peace.
…whose inhabitants have been gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel which had been a continual waste; but its people were brought out from the nations, and they are living securely, all of them. Ezek. 38:8b
…at rest, that live securely, Ezek. 38:11b
Israel’s certainly not living securely or at peace at the moment. If we’re as close as we think we are to our thunderous exit, the Israelis will have very little peace until after the Rapture.
Therefore we believe the Russian/Iranian invasion will take place after the Rapture, setting up a huge need for peace in the Middle East. All that’s taking place in the world today is while the Restrainer IS present on the earth. Imagine what it will be like when He departs!
For a more specific date, we’ve previously identified that the Ezek. 38/39 invasion will take place at the time of the first of two major earthquakes that take place in the seven year tribulation.
There are only two worldwide earthquakes mentioned in scripture that take place inside the 7 years of Tribulation. The second one is at the very end of the Tribulation when most of the world has died. (See chart above.)
Therefore, by default, we know the Ezek. 38/39 invasion occurs the day of the first Tribulation earthquake when Israel is at peace. Note the earthquake is felt worldwide by fish, birds, cattle, lizards and ALL humans!
…on that day there will surely be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. Ezek. 38:18b
The fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all the creeping things that creep on the earth, and all the men who are on the face of the earth will shake at My presence; Ezek. 38:20
So this tells us the Ezekiel 38/39 invasion will occur roughly around the middle of the first 3 1/2 years of Tribulation during the release of the 6th Seal.

When the USA military is fully neutralized by the Rapture (and likely closely following God’s judgment), Iran will jump at the chance to join Russia in a surprise attack on Israel.
And we know nuclear weapons will be used in the invasion (Zech. 14:12). The Iranian port explosion will inevitably slow down, but not stop, Iran’s quest for having nukes—we just don’t know for how long.
Strait of Hormuz
The location of the Iranian port explosion was in a narrow slip of water that links the Persian Gulf to the Arabian Sea called the Strait of Hormuz. 40% of the earth’s oil exports have to navigate this strait to ship their oil.
Whoever blew up the port knows the potential disruption of world oil supplies…not only of slowing the flow of oil from Iran, but also the potential of slowing or stopping 40% of the world’s oil supply.
This whole area is a powder keg.
Yemen is just around the southeast corner of the Arabian Peninsula from the Strait of Hormuz. It’s strategically located on another narrow oil shipping passage between the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
The Houthis are a Muslim terrorist group based in southern Yemen. They are funded by Iran and lately have been launching drone missiles at US, UK and Israeli-connected oil tankers passing by. Two ships have been sunk and one hijacked.
Ships are now avoiding the area and instead have to go the long way around the tip of Africa to reach Europe.
To stop their nonsense, President Trump has directed the US military to bomb the smithereens out of the Houthi rebels for over a month. And to keep bombing until they stop their attacks.
To date, the non-stop bombardment has pummeled over 800 targets using B-2 Stealth bombers dropping 30,000 pound bunker-busting bombs.
The strikes have been effective, destroying the Houthi air defenses, weapons manufacturing centers, missiles and drones. Since the US began the campaign, the Houthi missile launches have dropped by 70% and one-way drone launches have dropped 50%.(2)
If you think back to around 1800, we had pretty much the same problem with the Muslims in the Mediterranean on the north African coast… 🎼“...on the shores of Tripoli...”
So Iran is catching it left and right from the US. And don’t forget that Israel sneaked in a bunch of remotely activated exploding pagers recently that also killed a bunch of Iranian-backed mussies.
So by now Iran is really seething… and to repeat, all this is setting up the incentive to attack Israel when the USA is neutralized post-Rapture.
All this was predicted 2600 years ago!
For a quick overview of where all this fits together, here are some of the major prophecies to be fulfilled in the first half of the 7-year Tribulation.
But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief; for you are all sons of light and sons of day [Born-again Believers]. We are not of night nor of darkness; so then let us not sleep as others do, [“others” in Greek = “remaining ones,” i.e., those left behind after the Rapture] but let us be alert and sober. 1Thes. 5:4-6
In Greek “sober” = “self-controlled,” i.e., - not running from room to room with our hands in the air as we see all this getting close! “...realize the full assurance of hope until the end," Heb. 3:14.
2) World Chaos For 50 Days
Just as there were 50 days between the cross and the arrival of God’s Holy Spirit, we theorize there will be 50 days between the Rapture and the signing of the 7-year peace treaty/covenant that begins the Tribulation. God is always quite balanced.
3) Israel Takes The Offensive And Begins Wiping Out Close-by Nations
“In that day I will make the clans of Judah like a firepot among pieces of wood and a flaming torch among sheaves, so they will consume on the right hand and on the left all the surrounding peoples, while the inhabitants of Jerusalem again dwell on their own sites in Jerusalem. Zech. 12:6
With Israel’s only ally, the USA, wiped out, Israel has no choice but to take the offensive. She systematically begins taking out Gaza, Lebanon and Syria…probably with neutron bombs which she is rumored to have.
The rest of the Arab nations, having no defense against Israel and worried they are next to be destroyed, begin screaming like a loud hyena. And then along comes John…(proverbial).
4) 7-Year Peace Treaty is signed between Israel (Dan. 9) and 10 nations that existed during the
Roman Empire.
Just as the arms of Daniel's statue represent the Medes and the Persians, the feet and toes of the statue in Dan. 2 represent 5 countries from Muslim nations (eastern leg) and 5 countries from European nations (western leg).
Out of the blue, one man rises to prominence and orchestrates the infamous treaty between Israel and 10 nations. The main motivation for the treaty is to promise Israel enough for her to stop Israel’s annihilation of more of her Arab enemy nations.
Israel has all the negotiating cards and deals from a strength position. Today Israel has food, water, energy and has the region’s strongest military.
5) Israel Recovers Solomon‘s Massive Treasures of Silver and Gold(3)
We just returned from Israel where our group was blessed to be able to include a special pre-approved stop near ancient Qumran at an archeological dig.
They wouldn’t let us on-site unless we all signed non-disclosure agreements, including our driver and guide. So for the time being we're still under a gag order.
What I CAN say is that the dig permit for this group is to excavate in search of the OLD Ashes of The Red Heifer (an all-hairs-red-cow) which are needed to mix with ashes from a new 100% red heifer—so the new mixture ties all the way back to Moses, albeit somewhat diluted.
Jeremiah gave some clues as to where he hid all this stuff, but to date, no one has figured out his riddles to know where to dig. The group we visited, shall we say, "is making progress."
Of course when they do find the old ashes, they will also find other Biblical artifacts hidden over 2600 years ago… like maybe Solomon’s $100 trillion gold and silver treasure.
6) Russia, Iran, Turkey, et al, invade Israel to steal Israel’s gold and silver… but lose big time.
Israel will eventually find those ashes because they're necessary to be able to make blood sacrifices—and Israel makes animal sacrifices in the first half of the Tribulation.
...in the middle of the [Tribulation] he will put a stop to sacrifice...Dan. 9:27b
Scripture even says one of the two witnesses shows where the Temple should be built.
Then there was given me a measuring rod like a staff; and someone said, “Get up and measure the temple of God and the altar, and those who worship in it. Leave out the court which is outside the temple and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread under foot the holy city for forty-two months. Rev. 11:1-2
Therefore, when the old ashes of the Red Heifer are found, Solomon's $100 trillion hidden treasure of gold and silver will also be found. And it will be that treasure that Russia, Iran, Turkey and others will go after.
I will turn you about and put hooks into your jaws, Ezek. 38:4
The massive amount of gold and silver Israel will recover is likely to be the "hooks" God uses to entice Russia, et al., to invade the nation of Israel.
…in the last days that I will bring you against My land, Ezek. 38:13b
Don't miss the fact that this land is God's land and He gave it to Israel in perpetuity.
After many days you will be summoned; in the latter years you will come into the land that is restored from the sword, whose inhabitants have been gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel which had been a continual waste; Ezek. 38:8b
I will strike your bow from your left hand and dash down your arrows from your right hand [arrows may refer to missiles]. You will fall on the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the peoples who are with you; Ezek. 39:3,4a
On that day I will give Gog [Russia] a burial ground there in Israel, Ezek. 39:11a
Bottom line: Israel wins, Russia, Iran, Turkey, et al., lose badly.
Notably absent from that group of invaders is Jordan. This is interesting because a year or two later, when Israel flees to the mountains from the hand of the Antichrist, the 1/3 of Israel's population who do not die will find their way to the ancient area of Edom/Bozrah (Petra), Jordan. Here they will spend 3 1/2 years being re-taught scripture by the 144K Jewish evangelists.
As Chuck Missler liked to say to Born-again Believers, "And we'll be watching all this from the mezzanine." Amazing!
