Dear Compass Supporters:
Well, I can honestly say Susie and I have been blown away by the hundreds of emails and notes of encouragement. What a blessing to hear from so many.
I thank the Lord that there appears to be no permanent damage to my heart muscle. So I should be able to ease back into the swing of things over time.
It is interesting how taking a couple of weeks off to hear the birds sing helps clear the cobwebs.
Going forward, I've had to drop my weekend commitment to teach our Home Fellowship at our home. In 2014 I had committed to teach six months. This was a difficult decision for Susie and me as about 25 of us had grown quite close as "church refugees."
Going forward in our ministry, no one knows how much time we have left before our most exhilarating exodus. But in the time we have left, I believe the Lord wants us to keep the main thing, the main thing.
For Compass as a ministry this means defending the accuracy of the Bible from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22.
But personally knowing truth is not enough because it's not about us. Rather it's about God's will and God's plan for humanity—how does He want to use us?
How does He want us to apply what we learn from our defense of scriptural accuracy? To apply what we know means being willing to be used by the God in the lives of those in our sphere of influence—for salvation and/or maturity.
As discussed many times in the past, the only thing that really matters in this life is who goes to heaven and who goes to hell. Everything else pales in comparison. So when the Lord opens a door, we're to boldly proclaim what we know.
praying... that God will open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, Col. 4:3
Notice that charge begins with prayer. We should pray daily to be sensitive to God's opening a door for us to boldly proclaim what we know.
And considering the days in which we live, by extension, this would also include being used by God to plant seeds for post-Rapture salvation, for those left behind.
What a privilege it would be to be used by the Lord in someone's life ... post-Rapture!
For Compass, I believe we have to better manage our time priorities. We will continue to send out our Compass eNews. But they may often need to be shorter.
This decision was sort of like "do we fish or cut bait?" We have a major project this summer to mail 100,000 Millions Missing? booklets—around the world, but mainly in the United States.
Since electricity will likely go down from the effects of the Rapture, having a printed paper booklet may be very valuable.
And considering no post-Rapture electricity in mind, we are also editing the Bible's Big Picture (which lays out the whole Bible in 30 minutes) into a print form.
And again, since we don't know our departure date, we want to continue our Bible trips as long as possible. If the Lord tarries, there will come a day we will be unable to travel overseas, if at all.
So, that's what I've gotten from my time off. God's got us here at this time for His purposes. He is in control, not the Globalists/Satanists. Use us, Lord!
