The coming cashless society is, quite frankly, a great idea! Think about it ... doing away with money will solve most, if not all, of our monetary problems—worldwide! With the government now owning and/or controlling all the banks, this idea is actually feasible. And, considering today’s technology it would not be a difficult thing to do. The government would just assign a number to every person on the earth and mark that number permanently on their right hand (or on the forehead if their arm is missing). Several companies are already using imbedded chips in cattle, dogs, cats and other animals with great success. No muss, no fuss. Works like a charm. Besides, there’s really not much difference between a chip in a credit/debit card in your purse or wallet and a chip in your arm (or invisible ink on the back of your hand). Think of the possibilities:
All Taxes Collected - Every transaction could be controlled through a single central computer. Groceries, restaurant charges, furniture purchases, utilities, gas, clothes, supplies, business transactions, payroll . . . everything and anything purchased, could have their taxes collected on the spot. No more behind the scenes transactions to avoid paying taxes. And there would be no more reporting necessary. All those cumbersome retail tax filings, payroll tax deposits, etc. would be history. Everything would be taxed and paid at the transaction point.
All Income Taxes Paid - All your income and all your expenses would be part of the system, so no more fudging on your income taxes. Hey, you probably won’t even have to file taxes. They’ll just take a percentage of every transaction and tell you how much you have left.
Robberies -There would be no more money-motivated bank heists because there wouldn’t be any money in the bank to steal! Makes petty robberies a thing of the past. You also wouldn’t have to worry about bounced checks—there are no checks! If someone tries to purchase something and they don’t have the money, you would know immediately!
Identity Theft - You would never have to fear losing your check book or credit card again. Or having your identity stolen. Your permanent number would be attached to you and you would just wave it over the scanner to complete the transaction.
Illegal Drugs - Law enforcement officials have told us for years that the motive for drug sales is money, not drugs. Take away the money and presto, no more motive for selling drugs. What a wonderful world we would have without the drug problem.
Works Worldwide - This will work worldwide. Today, if you are in Jerusalem, and use a cash machine to withdraw Israeli Shekels from your personal bank account in the U.S., the approval (or disapproval) is instantaneous. There is no time difference between standing in front of the cash machine at your hometown bank and standing in front of the cash machine anyplace in the world.
So the system is in place! It’s just a matter of time, or having some kind of real or perceived world-wide crises, and the wise ones will demand that this wonderful and fair system be hurried into action.
The devil, of course, is in the details. What group of nations is going to control this world-wide monster? What criteria will be used to determine which people get into the system, and who will be in charge of keeping out those that are not, shall we say, “desirable”? And with all that control, what if they needed more taxes? Would those in the system have any say in the matter? Could you get out if you wanted to? There are lots of questions. But most importantly, if you peek at the end of the best-selling book of all time, you can see it’s Satan himself controlling this world-wide economic system and it turns into a living hell. Bummer, it was such a great idea!
