Are There 66, 70 or 77 Books Of The Bible?
For over 30 years, Chuck Missler opened his radio broadcasts saying the Bible was "66 books written by 40 authors." With his incredibly large listening audience, that stat of 66 books in the Bible seemed to be ironclad.
And when I say “incredibly large listening audience,” that’s an understatement. At one time there were over 6 million of his Bible teaching cassette tapes in circulation…PLUS his radio ministry outreach.
So when I recently made the comment that there were 70 books in the Bible, it raised a lot of eyebrows.
Claiming there are 70 books in the Bible is not something that we've recently come up with. We’ve been teaching this for a couple of decades and even have it in the foreword of our very first Steel on Steel, Book 1.
I have to say that for the first 20 years of my Christian walk, as I learned about biblical numbers, I never understood why there would be the peculiar number of 66 books. Six is the number of the day man was created. It also means incomplete...one less than seven—God's number of perfection or completeness.
Hey, if those people who met in the early Christian days were that smart and that spiritual, it seems like they would’ve settled on something divisible by 7. Just saying.
Over time I realized, as have others, that Psalms is actually five books, not one.
Here’s the structure of the five books of Psalms: (Notice that at the end of each of the 5 books there’s even a closing verse.)

Book 1 Psalms 1–41 Emphasizes personal devotion and trust in God.
Closing verse:
Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God. Psa. 42:11
Book 2 Psalms 42–72 Focuses on longing for God's presence and comfort.
Closing verse:
The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended. Psa. 72:20
Book 3 Psalms 73–89 Addresses issues of injustice and the struggles of faith.

Blessed be the LORD forever! Amen and Amen. Psa. 89:52
Book 4 Psalms 90–106 Reflects on God's sovereignty and eternal nature.
Closing verse:
Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting. And let all the people say, “Amen.” Praise the LORD! Psa. 106:48
Book 5 Psalms 107–150 Celebrates God's faithfulness and the hope of restoration.
Closing verse:
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD! Psa. 150:6

Here’s what happened…
How We Got the Canon of Scripture
The term “Canon” is used to describe the books that are divinely inspired and therefore belong in the Bible. A book of Scripture belonged in the Canon from the moment God inspired its writing. It was simply a matter of God’s convincing His human followers which books should be included in the Bible.(1)
I had always been taught that the New Testament Canonical books were determined in the 300s AD and I just assumed that’s where we got the 66 books we have today. But according to what I found doing a little research, that’s not the case.
The Catholic Canon of Scripture was confirmed in 382 AD at the Council of Rome under Pope Damascus. They approved 77 books of the Bible (Psalms was five books).
Some 1200 years later during the Reformation in 1530s, Martin Luther apparently disagreed with the Catholic hierarchy’s conclusions as to which books were 100% inspired by God.
So over 20 years before the Protestant Revolution, Luther took seven books, Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch, and 1–2 Maccabees, plus additions to Esther and Daniel and put them in a separate “Apocrypha” section.
He labeled them useful for reading but “not equal to the Holy Scriptures” and not to be used for establishing doctrine.
Numbered Verses
New Testament Bible verses were first numbered in 1227 AD by Stephen Langton, an Archbishop of Canterbury. Although the numbered verses were not inspired by God, it made referencing scripture verses far easier, as you can imagine.
The Hebrew Old Testament was divided into verses by a Jewish rabbi by the name of Nathan in 1448 AD. That helped a little but still the Bible was primarily written on scrolls which were 80' kosher animal skins.
Don't miss the fact that up until around the 13th century, all the small groups studies were never over in less than an hour. Imagine someone saying, "Turn in your Isaiah scroll about half-way to where it says "Your eyes will see the King...". LOL!
Ok, few peeps had Isaiah scrolls in that day. Shoot, few had any scrolls. They must have just read to the small group off a borrowed scroll and discussed. And if the study was at night, women didn't need to worry about make-up because there was little light after dark. LOL! (Just kidding)
In 1455 the Bible became the first major book in the world printed (in Latin) using the newly invented printing press. But it didn't include chapter and verses. Psalms was published as five books, not one in that first Bible printing.
In 1560, the Geneva Bible (first Bible printed in English) was the first Bible printed using the chapter and verses that we use today. Sir Rowland Hill of Soulton was the publisher.

No explanation was ever given as to why Hill arbitrarily included the five books of Psalms into one book. The apocrypha, following Martin Luther’s lead, was included as a separate section between the Old and New Testaments.
So the original Catholic Canon had 77 books, and the Protestant Canon was changed to 70 books by Luther. When they began using the newly designated chapter and verses in the printed copies, Sir Rowland Hill, the publisher, printed Psalms as one book, changing the total number of books to 66.
Therefore, it was an English publisher who inexplicably made the "combining the Psalms" decision. And quite possibly it could have even been an apprentice worker tasked with shortening the length of the vast project.
And that’s why so many people count 66 books of the Bible when there are actually 70.

About Those Vaxxed Blood Transfusions
A couple of weeks ago we published Dr. Peter McCullough's info regarding blood transfusions dealing with the concern that if you were to receive someone's vaxxed blood, you would be getting their spike proteins, etc.
McCullough explained several reasons he didn't think it would be a problem.
The article prompted a reader to share with us a link to https://safeblood.com At that site, in their Q&A section, they had the following information we thought was helpful.
No blood is more compatible than your own and is therefore always the best option in cases where your own blood can be used in surgery. In addition to autologous blood donation, where you donate your own blood before a planned surgery, there are other options.
You might be able to avoid transfusion altogether by using autotransfusion, commonly referred to as “cell salvage,” or CS for short.
Autotransfusion is a medical process in which a person’s own blood is collected during surgery, filtered, and then re-infused back into the body.
This procedure, which is performed by a trained member of the surgical team, is mainly used during operations when the chance of significant blood loss is high (>500 mL) and the chances of contamination within the surgical field are low.
These include cardiac, major (open) vascular, complex urology, obstetric and orthopedic surgeries (including spine).

Autotransfusion is not an option in every circumstance, such as in instances of major surgical site infection or when certain contaminants are present.
Such contaminants include: antimicrobial agents that cannot be adequately filtered out of the collected blood; antibiotics not approved for IV use; topical clotting agents; unset bone cement; and excessive amniotic fluid and leukocytes present in cancer surgeries.
Because a person’s own blood contains the necessary antigens and antibodies required for a successful transfusion, autotransfusion ensures perfectly matched blood and prevents possible allergic reactions caused by improperly matched donated blood.
Moreover, autotransfusion eliminates the concern that you are receiving blood from a vaccinated donor.
Despite the benefits, many doctors and surgeons do not include cell salvage as part of their routine procedural care. Therefore, it is critical to advocate for yourself or your family member.
More often than not, cell salvage (CS) will not be offered as an option unless you specifically request it. Find out if your hospital has trained cell salvage staff and equipment on site. If they do, discuss the risks and benefits of CS with your doctor.
Protocols to mitigate blood loss are also worth discussing with your surgeon and anesthesiologist.
These include but are not limited to: supplements to increase hemoglobin levels prior to surgery; avoiding hemodilution in the preoperative setting; volume expanders, antifibrinolytic drugs (specifically tranexamic acid); perioperative use of vasoconstrictors; and reversal of anti-coagulants.
You may specify that these procedures be used before transfusion in your medical advance directives which you can fill out and print and/or link to your medical ID on your phone from our site.

The Truth Is Continuing To Come Out—It Was An Obvious Cover Up
For four years, Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) has wondered how US health officials could ignore “overwhelming evidence of harm” from the COVID vaccine.
“Now I know,” he says. "The truth is, health officials didn’t 'ignore' safety signals. They buried them instead. And now we have the receipts."
According to VAERS, the US’s vaccine adverse event reporting system, more adverse events and deaths have been reported following COVID vaccines than from all other vaccines combined over the system’s 30+ year history.
More dangerous than ivermectin. More dangerous than hydroxychloroquine (which turned out not to be so dangerous after all).
It was 55 times more deadly than the flu vaccine (0.46 deaths vs 25.5 deaths per million doses).
And even more dangerous than Remdesivir, which earned the nickname “Run Death Is Near” after it wreaked havoc on the kidneys and livers of tens of thousands of COVID patients in the hospital.
But still the question remains. How did US health officials miss a safety signal this big?
The U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations investigated what federal health officials knew and when they knew it.
It turns out they knew the safety signal was there. But they didn’t see it as a warning sign. They saw it as a “pest.”
So much of a “pest” that they decided it was better to ignore the devastating safety signals and let people die than to deal with the data head-on because it could stoke “vaccine hesitancy.” Read more at the above link.

Actually, the entire chapter of Daniel Chapter 10 is about Persia, which in 1935 changed its name to Iran. Apparently it was a hot-bed of demonic activity even back in 536 BC. There you have it.

A recent survey found slightly over half of young adults (18-26) now suffer from anxiety, 43% have panic attacks, a third take anxiety medications, 54% found they became worse in 2023, and 26% of them were diagnosed with a new mental health condition due to COVID-19.
All of this suggests we may not be utilizing the best approach to deal with anxiety—particularly since the drugs used to treat it are some of the most problematic ones on the market.
I wonder how this survey would break down between those who study their Bible daily vs those who don't. 🤔

Biden Admin Targeted Conservative Churches

A new report released Thursday by the Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias reveals what investigators describe as a "stark contrast" and a systemic double standard in how the Biden Internal Revenue Service policed American churches.
“The Biden IRS … [opened] multiple investigations into Christian churches focused on the content of their sermons. The IRS asked these churches for detailed information about their operations, not just about the alleged violations,” the task force wrote.
“But during the same time, when other houses of worship gave sermons that reflected different scriptural interpretations on culture war issues, or prayed for Democrat candidates, the Biden IRS appeared to take no action,” the group added.
The task force, which was established by President Donald Trump in an executive order last year, reviewed internal administration discussions, case files and prosecutorial decisions from the Biden administration across 17 federal agencies.
Beyond the IRS’s apparent targeting of conservative Christian churches, the task force concluded that the Biden administration’s prosecution strategy, internal policies and practices demonstrated an overall anti-Christian bias that permeated throughout the federal government during that period.
“No American should live in fear that the federal government will punish them for their faith,” said acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, who chaired the task force. “As our report lays out, the Biden Administration’s actions devastated the lives of many Christian Americans. That devastation ended with President Trump.”
