The silence before the storm?
Making a difficult book even more difficult to understand, God inspired John to write a couple of verses of which we may never know the meaning until we transition to heaven. In addition to the strange 30 minutes of silence, there is the prohibition to explain the seven peals of thunder:
And when the seven peals of thunder had spoken, I was about to write; and I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Seal up the things which the seven peals of thunder have spoken, and do not write them.” —Revelation 10:4
It’s almost as if God is saying that we don’t need to know everything, and some things definitely won’t be revealed ahead of time. But we already know that:
The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us . . . forever.” —Deuteronomy 29:29
There’s great speculation as to the meaning of the 30 minutes of silence, but probably it is meant to be a dramatic pause symbolizing the awe and dread with which those in heaven await the next events to unfold. Only John knows what the seven thunders said.
I am a Christian who has been divorced and is now remarried. At the time when I was considering divorce, I wasn’t a very mature Christian and truly believed that God gave me the ok to divorce. I now believe that Satan tricked me into thinking I was hearing from God. My husband had been a Christian earlier in his life but had gotten involved in adultery and drugs and had slipped away from his faith.
I am now happily married to my second husband of 8 years, and although he is not a Christian, I do believe God is beginning to work in his life. I know I should have sought a Christian husband, but I can’t change the past.
Would you please give those of us who are remarried and didn’t trust God for our first marriages some Scripture to reassure us that we are forgiven and that we can put this behind us to go on with our lives? Someone once told me I am committing adultery daily due to getting remarried, and this haunts me to no end. Some days I feel like I am going to hell for being remarried, and I can’t seem to find peace.
When God looks at Christians, He sees perfectly righteous individuals, not the sinners that we are.
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God —Romans 3:23

It may also be encouraging to you that those who have really messed up in this life can be more motivated to unabashedly seek God’s will—therefore, understanding the depth of your forgiveness, you could actually be more effective for the cause of Christ:
For this reason I say to you, her sins, which are many, have been forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little. —Luke 7:47
