Christians have incredible power.
|The same power that calmed the stormy sea (Matthew 8:26), rebuked demons (Luke 11:14), performed countless miracles (John 21:25), and raised Jesus from the dead (Acts 13:30) is present within every Christian.||He said to them, “Why are you afraid, you men of little faith?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it became perfectly calm. —Matthew 8:26 |
And He was casting out a demon, and it was mute; when the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke; and the crowds were amazed. —Luke 11:14 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written. —John 21:25 But God raised Him from the dead —Acts 13:30

and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. —Romans 5:5
That’s a lot of power and amazingly, access to this spiritual power comes through simple faith:
. . . if you have faith as a mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it shall move; and nothing shall be impossible to you. —Matthew 17:20
So, have faith today and pray you’ll be used by God.
. . . Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith . . . —Galatians 2:20
Is there a verse in the Bible explicitly promising the gift of the Holy Spirit to those at the “moment” they trust Jesus as their Lord and Savior and believe? Or does the Spirit come to live in a believer at some later, undefined time after conversion?
The Holy Spirit comes to live permanently in a believer at the exact time of conversion.
. . . if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. —Romans 8:9
While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message. —Acts 10:44
And receiving the Holy Spirit is permanent.
. . . the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. —Ephesians 4:30
I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Spirit), that He may be with you forever. —John 14:16
Remember, you are saved by grace, not by works.
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. —Ephesians 2:8-9
See also Romans 3:28 and Titus 3:5.
So nothing you do can separate you from God.
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. —Romans 8:38-39
